The 2.5V 180mA mono-crystalline panel charges the 1.2V 600mAh NI-MH battery through the day, and the stud runs 72 hours on a full charge \u2014 flashing at 2Hz \u00b120% or constant, per the mode set. The photocell switches the light on below 500 lux (adjustable per request), so the marking hands over to the LEDs as the dusk settles.<\/p>\n
The cast-aluminium body carries 30 tons \u2014 the load a heavy vehicle puts on the stud at motorway speed. The working temperature runs -30\u00b0C to +70\u00b0C, and the NI-MH battery is rated two years with the stud, which is the service cycle to plan the replacements around.<\/p>\n
The LEDs come in red, white, yellow, blue and green, ordered against the road logic: white for the lane lines, red and green for the edges and the direction markers, yellow and blue for the special positions. One or two-sided illumination and flashing or constant are set per position.<\/p>\n
