The ILED-OL-A E27 is the oyster ceiling light stripped back to what lasts: an aluminium body, a PMMA diffuser and a standard E27 bulb base. There is no LED module, no driver and no sensor built into it — you supply the bulb, which means the brightness, the colour temperature and the upgrade path all belong to you rather than to the fixture.
You choose the bulb
Any E27 lamp works in this fitting: an LED bulb for efficiency, a warm 2700K lamp for a bedroom, a bright 4000K for a kitchen, or a smart bulb if the room is on an app. When the bulb industry moves on, you change the bulb and keep the fixture — which is the whole point of a base-lamp design. The specification carries no bulb, so there is no factory colour temperature to settle for and nothing to go obsolete inside the housing. For a building that is fitted out once and maintained for decades, that division of labour is the practical one: the fixture handles the weather, the wiring and the optics, and the lamp technology keeps improving on its own.
Build and mounting
The body is aluminium with a PMMA diffuser, painted white, measuring φ325×98mm, and spreading a 120-degree beam across the room. It is a surface mount: the base fixes to the ceiling, the wiring lands on the terminal block, and a quick connector makes the bulb change a one-hand job. Class I wired, so the circuit needs a protective earth. At φ325mm across and 98mm deep it sits close to the ceiling, and the diffuser softens whatever lamp is fitted — a clear bulb stops glaring, a frosted bulb spreads a little further.
The quick connector
The bulb sits in a quick connector rather than a screw-down holder, so a change is a quarter-turn with one hand — reachable from a step stool without tools. That sounds like a small thing until you count the bulb changes a corridor of fittings collects over ten years, or try to do the last one with the old bayonet style welded in by heat and time.
Where it works
The rating is IP42 — an indoor ceiling fitting, protected against dripping water and solid objects. That covers bedrooms, living rooms, hallways, home offices and covered entryways; bathrooms and outdoor ceilings need a higher-rated fitting. It runs on 110-240VAC at 50/60Hz, which covers both regional supplies on one SKU. Being Class I, the circuit carries a protective earth and the terminal block lands it properly inside the base — the fitting is simple, but it is not a shortcut on the wiring.

Rental and social housing is the natural home for this design: the landlord fits the fixture once, and tenants change bulbs as they please without touching the wiring. Between tenancies there is nothing to re-program and no proprietary lamp to source — the outgoing tenant takes their bulbs and the next one fits their own. Hotels and offices use it in back-of-house corridors where a standard lamp is all the room needs. Kitchens and home offices take brighter lamps, bedrooms take warmer ones, and the fixture stays out of the decision. Facility teams like it for the same reason: when a lamp fails, the fix is stocked in every hardware aisle, and there is no module to order from a catalogue.
Certifications and warranty
The ILED-OL-A E27 carries CE, RoHS, SAA and TUV certification. The warranty is five years on the fixture itself. There are no electronics inside to fail — the maintenance routine is the bulb change, and the diffuser wipe that comes with any ceiling fitting. The TUV mark behind the CE, RoHS and SAA paperwork also covers the fixture side of the safety case: the housing, the terminal block and the base, which is the part that stays on the ceiling long after any bulb is gone.
