What it does

The four channels and the load

Dimming and colour mixing

Mix the red, green and blue channels to make a colour, and use the white channel for a steady, full-spectrum white. Because each channel is dimmed separately, you can go from a warm white to a deep red on the same strip, which is the whole point of an RGBW control.
The 2.4G remote
The remote works over RF at 2.4GHz, so it controls the strip without a cable between the two, which is what you want for a cove or a display where the control point is not next to the fixture. Connections
The supply comes in on a DC2.1 plug or a screw terminal, so you can run it the way the rest of the install is wired. The four channels go out to the strip, one per channel, and you match the red, green, blue and white leads to the four outputs. Keep the wiring clean and the strips the right voltage, and the control does the rest.

A few things to check before you wire it up:
Match the supply voltage. It takes 12 to 24V DC, so use the voltage the strip runs on. Feeding it the wrong voltage, or the wrong one for the strip, will not run it correctly.
Size the load. Each channel is 4A and the total is 144W at 12V or 288W at 24V. Add up the strip load and keep it under that, and size the supply for it, or the controller will overload.
Match the channels to the strip. The four outputs go to the red, green, blue and white leads of the strip, so wire each channel to the right lead, or the colours will come out wrong.
Pick the remote type. It comes as a 2.4G wireless version and a push-button version, so choose the one for how you want to change the colour, from a distance or on a panel.
Keep the receiver dry. It works to 55 degrees but is not sealed for wet, so keep it off a wet surface and out of the weather, which is the usual spot for a control unit.
