DC 12V 24V SMD 2835 120 piece LED per Meter Flexible LED Strip Light
The ILED-FX-2835 120 is a high-density flexible LED strip with 120 SMD 2835 LEDs per meter, in white light only: warm, commercial or cool white. It runs on 12VDC or 24VDC and puts out 1,600 to 2,400 lumen per meter with a 120 degree beam. It is a static strip, so each piece is one fixed temperature. Cut it in 25mm steps, stick it down with the included 3M yellow tape and power it from the 15cm input cable. Choose IP20 for dry walls or IP65 to IP68 where it meets water. Its 50,000 hour rated life outlasts most installs.

The ILED-FX-2835 120 is a flexible LED strip built around the SMD 2835 package, packed at 120 LEDs per meter. It is the densest and brightest member of the 2835 range. Where the 60 piece strip is the everyday all-rounder, the 120 piece is the one you reach for when you genuinely need more light from a narrow line, and you are willing to run it on a higher power supply.
Tech specs at a glance
The strip runs on 12VDC or 24VDC, draws 16 to 24W per meter and puts out 1,600 to 2,400 lumen per meter with a 120 degree spread. Colour rendering is CRI above 80 as standard and above 90 on request. Each piece ships as a 5 meter roll, 10mm wide, cuttable in 25mm steps.
What 120 LEDs per meter means
Doubling the density of the 60 piece strip also doubles the output, so the light looks smoother and brighter with almost no visible gap between LEDs. That makes it the pick for task lighting, bright under-cabinet runs, display work and anywhere you want a strong, even line. The trade-off is the power draw, at 16 to 24W per meter, so it needs a properly sized supply and the 24V version for longer lines.
Dual voltage: 12V or 24V
Because this strip draws twice the current of the 60 piece version, the choice of voltage matters more here. On 12V the voltage drop shows up sooner, so 24V is the better default for anything longer than a short cove. Short, well-fed runs can use 12V, but for corridors, big coves and full-room lines choose 24 so the whole run stays even.
Choosing a white
This is a static white strip, so each piece is one temperature. The three options are warm white for a soft, cosy look in living areas, commercial white for a balanced tone in work and shop spaces, and cool white for a brighter, cleaner light where visibility matters. Pick one before ordering; the strip cannot change temperature on the fly.
IP rating options
The same strip is offered in four protection ratings. IP20 is for dry indoor locations such as coves and cabinetry. IP65 handles covered outdoor and wet areas like eaves and facades. IP67 and IP68 are for where the strip gets fully wet or sits in harsh coastal air. Match the rating to the location, not the highest one on the list.
Build and installation
The strip cuts cleanly in 25mm steps, so you trim it to fit instead of bending a longer piece. It is 10mm wide, a touch broader than the 60 piece version, so check your channel or cove clears that width. It is backed with 3M yellow double-sided tape, and a 3M red tape is available on request. A 15cm input cable is fitted to the leading end, and connector cables can be customized to a different length or plug.
What is in the box
Each order ships with the strip as a 5 meter roll, the 3M yellow mounting tape, and the 15cm input cable on the connection end. Custom lengths are cut to order from the same roll.
What you need to supply
You will need a power supply at 12VDC or 24VDC, matched to the strip version, sized for your total meters, which the 16 to 24W per meter figure makes easy to add up. For dimming, a compatible LED dimmer is available. If you are not hard-wiring, use an adapter or driver that matches the strip voltage.
Where it gets used
As the brightest option in the 2835 range it suits task and worktop lighting, bright under-cabinet runs, display and shop lighting, and any cove where you want real output. Outdoors the IP65 and above versions handle eaves, facades and garden edges. The three white temperatures cover homes, shops and offices.
Lifespan and reliability
The SMD 2835 LEDs carry a 50,000 hour rated life, which at typical use is well past a decade. There are no moving parts and no fan, so the strip does not fail through heat. It works from -20 C to 50 C, and with a 24V supply and a properly sized driver the heat stays manageable even in a tight cove.
Here is what installers tell us they like about the 120 piece 2835 strip:
The brightest in the range. At 120 LEDs per meter it puts out 1,600 to 2,400 lumen per meter, double the 60 piece strip. It is the choice when you need a strong, even line of light.
Dual voltage choice. You can order it on 12V or 24, and for this density the 24V version is the one that keeps long runs even. That saves you from guessing the supply later.
White only, no controller. It is a static strip, so there is no addressing to set up. You power it and it runs the one temperature you chose, which keeps the job clean.
Cut to the exact length. The 25mm cut step means you trim the strip to fit instead of wasting meters or bending a piece that will not sit flat.
Pick the protection rating. IP20 through IP68 are all on the same strip, so you choose the rating for the location rather than ordering a different product.
Three white temperatures. Warm, commercial and cool white cover most task and accent jobs without going to a different strip.
Both use the SMD 2835 LED, but the 120 piece meter packs twice as many, so it runs about twice as bright at 1,600 to 2,400 lumen per meter and draws 16 to 24W per meter. Choose the 120 piece when you need a strong, even line, and the 60 piece for softer, lower-power accent work.
With this much power per meter, 24V is the better default. It drops less voltage over distance, so the whole run stays even. On 12V the dimming at the far end shows up sooner. Reserve 12V for short, well-fed runs.
No. The ILED-FX-2835 120 is a static white strip in warm, commercial or cool white, one temperature per piece. If you need colours that change on command, that is the addressable RGB range, a different product.
It is 10mm wide, a little broader than the 60 piece version, which is 8mm. Check that your aluminum channel, cove or gap clears 10mm before you commit, especially in tight installs.
Under a covered roof eave, IP65 is enough. Where the strip gets fully wet, splashed hard or sits in coastal salt air, use IP67 or IP68. Match the rating to how wet the location is.
The strip cuts cleanly every 25mm on the marked line. Butt two lengths together and solder the wires, or use a 4-pin connector, keeping the lines matched. In wet locations, seal the joint with silicone.
Add up your total meters and multiply by the wattage per meter, roughly 16 to 24W. For example, a 5 meter run is about 80 to 120W, so size the 12VDC or 24VDC supply with headroom over that and feed long lines from both ends.
The densest, brightest 2835 strips like this one are used where you want real light output:
Task and worktop lighting. The 1,600 to 2,400 lumen per meter is enough to use as genuine lighting, not just a glow, so it suits kitchen worktops, reading zones and any surface that needs to be properly lit through the day.
Bright under-cabinet and shop lighting. Where a softer strip would be too dim, the 120 piece gives strong, even light under cabinets, in displays and on counters where visibility matters all day.
High-output cove and feature lighting. A long cove line that needs to carry real light across a room is a good fit, especially on 24V so the output stays even from one end to the other.
TV, mirror and furniture backlight. A cool or commercial white strip behind a TV or mirror gives a crisp, modern edge light without a visible source.
Architectural and facade. With IP65 and above, the strip outlines eaves, columns, canopies and garden edges outdoors, where it is weatherproof but still a strong, clean line of light.
A few things to check before ordering:
Size the power supply properly. This strip draws 16 to 24W per meter, so multiply your total meters by that and buy a supply with headroom. Undersizing is the main cause of a strip that dims at the far end.
Lean on 24V for long runs. With this much current, 24V holds the output further. If the line is long, choose the 24V version and feed power from both ends.
Check the 10mm width. It is broader than the 60 piece strip, so make sure your channel, cove or gap clears 10mm before you start cutting.
Match the IP rating to the location. IP20 is dry indoor only. Use IP65 for covered outdoor and wet areas, and IP67 or IP68 for full or harsh exposure.
Remember it is white only. The strip is static, one temperature per piece, in warm, commercial or cool white. If you need changing colours, that is the addressable RGB range.
