The ILED-SP1 is a spike light for gardens and borders: push the spike into the ground, aim the head, and let the fitting run from sunlight. It carries a 10W COB source on an adjustable head, with colour options of 3000K, 4000K, 6000K or RGB, and it suits the spots where running a cable is the awkward part of the job — the far border, the middle of a lawn, the bed by the gate.
Solar power with a wired input
The fitting is designed to run from sunlight: a 1.5W solar panel on the unit harvests the daytime charge, and Highlights list it as wireless solar-powered. The spec also carries a 12VDC or 24VDC input, so an installation that prefers a wired supply — or wants the fitting to run through a control system — has that path. How long the light runs each night depends on the day’s sunshine and the way the fitting is used, so site the panel where it actually sees the sun rather than under a tree canopy. For gardens that want the light on demand regardless of weather, the 12VDC or 24VDC input is the dependable path; for borders where no supply exists, the solar panel is the whole point.
The adjustable head
The head rotates through 180 degrees, which is what separates a spike light from a buried uplight: aim it up a trunk, across a border, or down onto a path edge, and re-aim it seasonally as the planting grows. The 10W COB gives a single even pool of light rather than a dotted pattern, and the colour options cover warm 3000K for planting, 4000K and 6000K for contemporary schemes, or RGB for gardens that change with the occasion. One fitting covers the jobs that would otherwise need a spotlight, a marker and an accent light — and moves between them without an electrician.
Строительство и отделка
The body is aluminium with plastic and glass components, finished in black, measuring 85×380mm overall including the spike. The rating is IP65 against dust and water jets, which is what a fitting pushed into open ground needs — rain, irrigation and sprinkler wash are all part of its week. The glass on the light face and the plastic components are chosen for outdoor duty, and the black finish sits quietly against soil, bark and foliage.
Монтаж
Installation is as simple as the category promises: press the spike into soft ground at the spot you want lit, adjust the head angle, and let the panel do its work. For harder ground, pre-open a slot with a spade rather than hammering the fitting. Keep the panel face clear of shade, mud and leaf litter through the seasons — that is the whole maintenance routine.
Где это применяется
Garden borders and lawn edges take most of them, uplighting shrubs and grasses from inside the bed. Tree pits and specimen shrubs use the 180-degree head to throw light up the trunk. Path edges and driveways run them as markers, and statues, planters and house signs get the aimed pool of light. Commercial landscapes — hotel gardens, restaurant terraces, park beds — use them where trenching for cable would cost more than the fittings do. Because the fittings are self-contained, the layout can change with the planting: lift the spike, move it two metres, push it back in, and the scheme follows the garden rather than the conduit.
Сертификаты
The ILED-SP1 carries SAA for Australia and New Zealand, CE for Europe, and RoHS. Confirm the warranty term for your configuration with the sales team when you order. There is no routine service inside the fitting; keep the panel face clean and the head moving freely, and the fitting looks after itself.
