Battery Powered Trade Show Lights 360 Degree Tube

The ILED-FEL-X11 is a 360-degree LED tube built around a battery, made for the spaces where running a cable to the lighting is the expensive part: exhibition booths, staged events, retail windows and tents. The tube stands, hangs or mounts on its end, emits from its whole circumference, and runs 8 hours on the internal battery, which is a full show day without a single cable on the floor.

The battery

The battery is the reason this fixture exists. A built-in 9600mAH lithium pack runs the tube for 8 hours at full monochromatic output, recharges in 8 hours, and is rated for more than 500 charge and discharge cycles. In practice that is a show day on one charge, with the tube topped up overnight from the 110-240VAC mains input between days. The battery is built in, so there is no pack to strap on and no cable to hide; the fixture is the tube, and the tube is all the venue sees.

Light output and colour

The light source is a set of RGBWA LEDs behind a 360° diffuser, so the tube emits from its entire circumference rather than one face, and 32 pixels along the length run individual effects: sweeps, chases and colour gradients that a single-colour tube cannot do. Colour tuning runs 1750K to 10000K, from candle-warm to a cool daylight match, with full RGBWA mixing for saturated colour and pastel tones in between. Output is 28W, brightness is set from the 4 dimming curves, and strobe runs 0 to 30Hz. The self-walking programs run built-in effects without a controller at all, which is the mode most booth crews actually use: set it on the touch panel in the morning and leave it until the hall closes.

Control options

The fixture carries more control paths than most stage lights. Wired DMX512 for a desk, 2.4G wireless DMX512 where running cable defeats the point, master-slave for linking tubes without a console, an infrared remote for quick changes, and a WiFi phone app for Apple and Android, all set from the OLED touch panel on the body. Channel modes run from 4 up to 160 channels, so a single tube behaves as one fixture on a small desk or splits into per-pixel control for a matched wall of tubes.

Body and build

The body is a Φ50mm aluminum tube, 1435mm long, weighing 2.5kg, which rigs on a stand, hangs from truss or lies on the floor behind a set piece. The aluminum shell is the heat sink, so there are no fans and no noise. The IP42 rating covers dry indoor use: exhibition halls, showrooms, stages and retail, not outdoor rain. LED life is 50,000 hours.
