The ILED-BH-R275 is a medium round exterior bulkhead light meant for the outside of buildings. Corridors, stairwells, car parks, canopies and service areas all take it. The body is die-cast aluminum and the diffuser is polycarbonate with an anti-UV layer, so it handles weather and stray knocks alike. Four diffuser faces share one housing, and the light is IP65 against water and IK10 against impact.
Diffuser options
Four covers are offered on the same φ275×86mm body, all with the same two outputs. The plain diffuser (ILED-BH-R275) gives a soft even glow, the usual pick for corridors and stairwells. The grille crossing version (ILED-BH-R275-GL) adds a raised crosshair face for a patterned wall effect. The eyelid half-moon diffuser (ILED-BH-R275-EL) drops the light lower and cuts upward glare, which helps where a path runs under the wall. The crossing version (ILED-BH-R275-TL) splits the face into a grid for a different spread. Pick the face for the look you want; the ratings stay the same.
Build and mounting
The housing is machined from die-cast aluminum and finished in white, black or silver gray. A silicone gasket around the diffuser rim makes the IP65 seal, and the anti-UV diffuser does not yellow with age. IK10 is a 20-joule impact rating. In practice that means trolleys, brooms and maintenance kit can hit it in a car park without damage. It is a surface mount. The flange carries pre-drilled holes, the unit sits flush to the wall, and the driver sits inside the sealed body, so nothing else has to be fixed to the wall.
Voltage and control options
The base unit is direct-on and runs on 220-240VAC or 110-277VAC, so one stock line covers both regional supplies. Colour temperature is picked at the bench, not after install: it is a 3CCT build and you choose warm, neutral or cool white before the diffuser is closed. Three upgrades can be added, all fitted in the factory so the seal is not opened later. A DALI driver replaces the fixed unit with one that takes standard dimming commands. A standby PIR sensor version runs the light at a low level until someone moves, then climbs to full. An emergency version adds a battery so it keeps lighting when the mains drops. None of these is a field retrofit.
What is in the box
Each carton holds the bulkhead with the diffuser you ordered, the driver already wired in, and the surface-mounting screws. There is no separate transformer or controller in the box, so the fixture is ready to wire straight to the supply. If you ordered a DALI, sensor or emergency option, that module is already in place before it ships.
What you need to supply
You need standard fixing for the surface mount and a junction box behind the wall where there is no existing conduit. For a DALI version, a DALI power supply and controller are separate purchases. For the emergency version, the circuit has to sit on a protected board so the battery charges while the mains is up. Beyond that, a screwdriver and wire strippers cover the install.
Where it gets used
It is built for the outside of commercial and institutional buildings. Corridors and stairwells in schools, offices and housing benefit from the even spread and the anti-glare plain or eyelid faces. Car parks and loading bays lean on the IK10 and IP65 for day-in, day-out knocks and weather. Entrance canopies and facade feature walls take the decorative grille or crossing faces. Near the coast, the powder-coated body and sealed driver shrug off salt spray. One SKU also lets a project match a warm white at the front entrance and a cooler white at the rear service door.
Certifications and warranty
The ILED-BH-R275 carries SAA for Australia and New Zealand, CE for Europe, and RoHS. The warranty runs from three to five years, depending on the region and which option was fitted. In day-to-day terms, the sealed driver and gasketed diffuser mean you do not open the unit; a wipe of the diffuser face keeps it looking right.
