The ILED-DL-B S1 is a surface-mounted SMD LED downlight with a round housing, built for ceilings where a recessed unit cannot fit. The housing mounts directly onto the ceiling face, so it works on solid concrete slabs, on top of plywood decking, and in rooms with shallow voids. The LM80 LED source delivers around 100 lm/W, and the 120° beam spreads light wide for general illumination rather than tight accent work. Because nothing is buried in the ceiling, the unit is also easier to service later: the driver and source are reached without pulling a housing out of a hole.
Models
Four models cover the range:
- ILED-DL3-B S1 9W: 900 lm, housing 100mm in diameter by 68mm deep
- ILED-DL4-B S1 12W: 1200 lm, housing 100mm in diameter by 80mm deep
- ILED-DL6-B S1 24W: 2400 lm, housing 170mm in diameter by 100mm deep
- ILED-DL8-B S1 30W: 3000 lm, housing 212mm in diameter by 120mm deep
The 9W and 12W models share the same 100mm housing, so a room can mix the two outputs without changing the mounting detail. Output scales with housing size, which also gives the larger models more surface for heat dissipation. The 9W model is the choice for small rooms and accent spots; the 30W model is the one for open workshop areas and higher ceilings.
Optics and color
The beam angle is 120° on every model, which is a wide wash suited to general lighting in corridors, utility rooms, and open areas. It spreads light evenly across the floor, so it works where a narrow spot would leave dark corners. Color temperature ranges 2800-6000K, so the fixture covers warm interior tones and cooler work-area tones. CRI is above 82, which is a standard level for general indoor lighting. The effective output is around 100 lm/W, so the light delivered per watt is consistent across the range.
Construction
The housing is aluminum with a PC component. Bodies come in white or black, chosen at order. The IP rating is IP42 or IP44, so the fixture is fine for dry indoor rooms and the higher grade adds protection against splashes. The electrical classification is Class I. The round body sits flush against the ceiling, and the finish is fixed at order, so the color should be confirmed before delivery.
Controls and electrical
Input is 220-240VAC or 110-277VAC with power factor above 0.9. Control is chosen at order: DALI dimmable, Triac dimmable, or 0-10V dimmable. The DALI version links into a building management system; the Triac version works with standard wall dimmers; the 0-10V version uses a low-voltage control signal. Each control type is a separate driver build, so it should be decided before ordering rather than changed on site.
Installation
Because the fixture mounts on the surface, there is no cutout to make. Fix the housing to the ceiling with the included fittings, wire the driver, then close the unit. On a concrete ceiling, mark the mounting holes and use the correct anchors for the substrate. Always switch off the supply at the breaker before wiring. The mounting face is flat, so an uneven ceiling may need packing behind the housing to sit level.
Where it fits
The S1 suits shops, workshops, corridors, and kitchens where a recessed unit is not possible. It is a common choice for concrete-slab ceilings in commercial buildings, and for retrofit jobs where the ceiling void is too shallow for a recessed housing. The wide 120° beam makes it a good general-purpose unit rather than a spotlight.
Warranty and certifications
The ILED-DL-B S1 carries SAA, CE, and RoHS certification, and is covered by a 3-5 year warranty. If the project needs certification documents on file, they can be requested from the sales team.
