The ILED-TL-E is a track spotlight for places where you want to aim light at specific objects instead of just filling a ceiling. There are three sizes in the range, all running at 100 lm/W. The ILED-TL-E2 is 15W, 1500 lumens, a 70mm body. The ILED-TL-E4 is 30W, 3000 lumens, 90mm. The ILED-TL-E6 is 40W, 4000 lumens, 110mm. The three sizes share the same zoomable lens, the same 3CCT switching and the same built-in driver, so a project can mix sizes on one track and the beams all behave the same way. That is the point of the range: pick the wattage for how much light a spot needs, and set the lens for how wide you want it to spread.
The zoomable lens
The lens barrel rotates by hand to change the beam from a 10° tight spot to a 60° wide wash. That is the main difference between this and a fixed-optic track light, where you order a 15° lens or a 36° lens and are stuck with it. Here you set the spread at the bench or on the ceiling, and you can re-aim it later when the display or the furniture moves. For a gallery, that means the same fixture can run a tight beam on a single frame and a soft wash over a whole wall of work without swapping hardware. For a shop, it means the same head can spotlight a product and open up to cover a display counter.
Light source and color
The source is a Citizen or CREE COB, so the light comes out of one flat panel rather than a ring of smaller LEDs. Standard color rendering is CRI 92, which is fine for most retail and general accent work. A CRI 97 version is available as an option, which matters when the light is on art, fabric or skin and the color has to hold up without a white balance correction. Color temperature is 3CCT, with 2800K, 4000K and 6500K set by a switch on the body. Set it at the bench before the fixture goes on the track; it is easier than climbing to the ceiling to flip the switch later.
Body and mounting
The body is extruded aluminum, finished in white or black. The driver is built into the body, so there is no separate driver box to find a place for on the track or in the ceiling. The fixture clips to a standard 3-phase or single-phase track, and the body color matches whichever rail you are running. Dimensions across the range are compact: 70mm, 90mm and 110mm body diameters, with lengths from 145mm to 200mm. Class I wiring, so it needs a proper earth connection. Input is 220-240VAC or the wide 110-277VAC version depending on the market, and the IP42 rating means it is for dry indoor ceilings, not a wet or outdoor position.
Choosing the size
The three wattages split by how much light the spot needs. The 15W E2 is for a single accent point, one artwork, a reading lamp position, a small display. The 30W E4 is the workhorse for a retail counter, a group of displays or a wider wash. The 40W E6 is for large rooms, high ceilings or a wide wash where you need the extra output without adding another head to the track. Because all three zoom over the same 10° to 60° range, the beam shape does not change with the wattage; you are choosing the light level, not the optic.
Where it gets used
Art galleries and museums, where a tight CRI 97 spot on a single piece sits next to a wide wash over a wall of work, all from the same lens. Retail and mall lighting, where a counter, a mannequin group or a feature wall each need a different beam width from the same track. Hospitality, where a restaurant table, a bar back or a reception wall are accent lit with a tight spot and the floor plan gets a wider wash. Exhibition and trade shows, where the layout changes between shows and the zoomable lens means the same heads are re-aimed instead of a new set of optics being ordered for each event. And residential, where a piece of art, a shelving unit or a reading chair gets a focused spot without a row of fixed downlights cutting into the ceiling.
