GU10 12V Dimmable LED Bulb Spotlight 5W 7W
The GUSP-A001 is a GU10 dimmable LED spotlight bulb with a COB source: 5 to 7 watts, 450 lumens, in a dual-supply version that runs on AC12V or 110-240VAC mains depending on the variant ordered. The COB gives a 115° beam with CRI above 80, and colour is chosen at order from 2700K, 3000K, 4000K, 5000K and 6000K. The PC body is 50×50mm, IP42 for the dry indoor fittings, dimmable on a Triac dimmer, with a two-year warranty and SAA, CE and RoHS certification.
Key Highlights
- AC12V/AC110-240V
- COB LEDs
- GU10 Socket
- Regulable mediante triac
- Alto rendimiento lumínico >100 LM/W
The GUSP-A001 is the GU10 dimmable LED spotlight for the fittings that take the twist-lock capsule: the ceiling downlights, the track heads and the display fittings. It is a COB bulb in the MR16 family format — 50mm across and 50mm tall — and the dual-supply design is what sets it apart: one bulb range covers both the mains fittings and the low-voltage 12V ones, ordered per the fitting’s supply.
The dual supply
The specification covers AC12V and 110-240VAC, which means the range serves both sides of the lighting market in one socket format. The mains versions run directly from the wall supply — no transformer, no driver box to hide, the simplest retrofit in the range. The 12V versions sit on the low-voltage side for the fittings wired for the halogen GU10s, with the same transformer-compatibility check the 12V MR16 bulbs carry: confirm the transformer is LED-compatible before the swap, because the old halogen types were sized for 50W loads and some electronic ones will not run a 7W LED cleanly.
The COB source
The light source is a single COB chip behind the 115° beam, so the pool of light on the counter or the display reads smooth from edge to edge rather than showing the ring of points an SMD bulb carries. Output is 450 lumens from 5 to 7 watts — the halogen GU10 replacement class — and CRI is above 80, which keeps the merchandise, the work surfaces and the skin tones reading true under it.
Colour temperatures
Five colour bins cover the practical range: 2700K and 3000K for the warm residential and hospitality positions, 4000K for the neutral working light, and 5000K and 6000K for the cool display and retail runs. The CCT is fixed per bulb and chosen at order time, so the fittings in one room should order the same bin to read as one installation.
Dimming
The bulb dims on a Triac dimmer, leading-edge or trailing-edge, matched to the supply the bulb runs on. The mains versions dim on the wall dimmers the fittings already carry; the 12V versions dim through their transformer chain. Set the low end before the fitting goes into daily use, because the minimum level is the part every dimmer handles differently.
Body and build
The body is PC in white, 50×50mm, IP42 rated for the dry indoor fittings — the ceiling downlights, the track heads, the display cabinets. It is not a wet-position bulb, so the bathroom and the outdoor positions need a rated fixture around it. The bulb carries SAA, CE and RoHS certification with a two-year warranty.
Dónde se utiliza
Ceiling downlights on the mains, where the GU10 swap skips the transformer entirely. Track heads and display fittings on the 12V side, where the existing low-voltage wiring stays. Retail shelves and hospitality interiors, where the CRI above 80 and the five colour bins cover the merchandising and the ambience. And the kitchen and living-room fittings, where the halogen GU10s are being replaced one by one for the LED equivalents. In each of these the swap is the same twist-lock procedure: pull the halogen, push the GU10 pins in, twist, and the fitting keeps its position and its beam while the draw drops to a fraction.
MR16 or GU10 — choosing the socket
The choice between this bulb and the MR16 version of the range (the MRSP-A001) is made by the fitting, not by preference. A GU10 socket takes the twist-lock mains or dual-supply capsule; an MR16 socket takes the two-pin 12V bulb. They are not interchangeable, so the socket is the first thing to check before ordering. If the fittings are being replaced anyway and the wiring is being simplified, moving to GU10 mains fittings removes the transformers entirely; if the 12V infrastructure stays, the MR16 bulb on an LED-compatible transformer is the drop-in.
Why do buyers pick the GUSP-A001 over the alternatives? Here is what we hear from customers:
One bulb range, two supplies. The dual AC12V and 110-240VAC spec covers the mains fittings and the low-voltage ones in the same GU10 format, ordered per the fitting’s supply rather than as two different products.
One COB, one even beam. The single COB chip gives a smooth 115° field instead of the dot ring the SMD GU10s show, which is what the displays and the work surfaces need.
The halogen replacement class. 450 lumens from 5 to 7 watts is the 50W halogen GU10 output, at a fraction of the draw and the heat into the fitting.
Five colour bins. 2700K through 6000K, ordered per fitting so the room runs one bin — the warm residential look to the cool retail display.
Triac dimmable and certified. The bulb fades on the standard dimmers its supply uses, with SAA, CE and RoHS certification and a two-year warranty.
The specification covers AC12V and 110-240VAC — a dual-supply range ordered per the fitting. Confirm which supply the fitting carries at order time: the mains versions run directly from the wall supply and the 12V versions sit on the low-voltage side, after the transformer.
Check that the transformer is LED-compatible. The old halogen transformers were sized for 50W loads, and some electronic types will not run a 7W LED cleanly — the bulb may flicker or fail early. Match the transformer to the bulb, or replace it with an LED driver rated for the load.
450 lumens from 5 to 7 watts is roughly the 50W halogen GU10 replacement class, at a fraction of the power draw and with far less heat into the fitting.
Five bins: 2700K and 3000K are the warm residential and hospitality whites, 4000K is the neutral working light, and 5000K and 6000K suit the cool display and retail positions. The CCT is fixed per bulb and chosen at order time, so order the same bin for the fittings in one room.
Yes, on a Triac dimmer — leading-edge or trailing-edge, matched to the supply the bulb runs on. The mains versions dim on the wall dimmers the fittings already carry; set the low end before the fitting goes into daily use.
The bulb is IP42, rated for dry indoor fittings. A bathroom or an outdoor position needs a sealed, rated fixture around the bulb — the bulb alone is not the wet-position rating.
115°, a wide flood rather than a spot. It covers the counter, the cabinet or the display area evenly; for a narrow accent beam, a different GU10 model is the one to compare.
Two years. The bulb carries SAA, CE and RoHS certification.
The GUSP-A001 drops into the GU10 fittings across the house and the shop: the ceiling downlights, the track heads, the display cabinets and the kitchen fittings — on mains or 12V depending on the variant.
Ceiling downlights. The mains versions twist into the standard GU10 sockets, skipping the transformer entirely, with the 3000K or 4000K bins for the room’s working light.
Retail shelves and display cabinets. The COB’s even field lights the merchandise without the dotting an SMD bulb shows, and the 3000K bin keeps the displays warm.
Track heads on the 12V side. The low-voltage version drops into the existing 12V track, with the transformer-compatibility check done before the swap.
Kitchen and living-room fittings. The halogen GU10s replaced one by one for the LED equivalents, keeping the room’s light level at a fraction of the draw.
Hotel and hospitality interiors. The 2700K and 3000K bins over the guest areas, dimmed on the Triac circuit for the evening, with the two-year warranty covering the maintenance cycle.
