The ILED-BH-R275 S is the plain diffuser version of the Square 270mm bulkhead. The square 270×270mm face sits flush against a flat wall or a grid ceiling in a way a round housing does not, and the plain diffuser is the one of the four faces in the series that lets the most light out of the LED array. That makes it the face to use where the light level matters more than the glare control that a gridded or shrouded diffuser gives you.
The two outputs
There are two wattages in the model. The 15W version puts out 1400 lumens, and the 18W version puts out 1700 lumens. Both run from the same 270×270×86mm body at 90 to 100 lumens per watt, so the choice between them is about how bright the position needs to be, not about a different fixture. A narrower corridor or a single wall goes with the 15W; a wider walkway or a position that has to carry more of the room goes with the 18W.
The plain diffuser
The diffuser is a clear anti-UV polycarbonate panel that takes the whole face of the housing. It is the highest-output face in the series: the gridded and shrouded faces in the same housing trade some of that output for softer, more directed light, and the plain face does not. For a position where you want the most light out of a 270mm square, this is the face. The polycarbonate is treated against UV, so the panel does not yellow the way an untreated one does after a season outdoors.
Body and installation
The body is die-cast aluminium with a powder-coated finish, available in white, black or silver gray. The gasket between the body and the diffuser is what carries the IP65 rating, so the seal has to be kept clean and intact when the fixture is fitted. The driver is built into the body, which means there is no separate supply to find a place for. Wiring is direct to the mains through the terminal block, and the fixture is Class I, so the circuit needs an earth. It surface-mounts on the four points on the back plate, or recesses into a 270×270mm cutout where the construction allows.
Choosing the colour temperature
The colour is set on an internal switch, with 2800K warm white, 4000K neutral and 6500K cool white. The switch is inside the fixture, so the right setting is the one to confirm before it goes up on the wall; flipping it at the bench is far easier than reaching up to the diffuser later. The three settings cover a warm reception or entrance, a neutral working area and a cool service or storage space, from the same fixture, so a single SKU serves more than one area on the same project without a different unit for each.
What it is not
This is the standard on/off version of the square bulkhead. It switches with the circuit, a wall switch, a timer or an external sensor. If the position needs dimming, motion sensing or an emergency hold on a power cut, that is a different variant of the same square housing with a different internal driver, so it is the one to order for that job. The body, the mounting and the diffuser face are the same; only the driver inside changes.
Certifications and warranty
The fixture carries SAA, CE and RoHS certification. SAA covers the Australian and New Zealand markets. The warranty is three to five years depending on the region and the distributor terms, so it is worth confirming which applies before the install.

The colour temperature is the setting you confirm at order, because the switch is inside the body and the housing is sealed when it leaves the factory.
