The ILED-COB-608 DW delivers precise white colour tuning through two independent channels — 3000K warm white and 6000K cool white — each with 304 LEDs per metre on a 10 mm PCB. This allows you to dial in any white tone between the two extremes using a dual-channel controller, something a single-channel white strip cannot achieve.

The COB process creates a dotless, uniform white line with no visible LED points at close range. The 10 mm width fits tight cove profiles and the 26.3 mm cut length allows fine adjustment during installation. How does the COB-608 DW differ from the COB-480 DW?
The COB-608 DW has 608 LEDs per metre (304 × 3000K + 304 × 6000K), while the COB-480 DW (13942) has 480 white LEDs per metre. The COB-608 DW produces higher brightness — up to 2000 lm/m at full output versus approximately 900-1000 lm/m for the COB-480 DW — and draws more power (20W/m vs 9-10W/m). Both share the same 10 mm width and dotless COB technology; choose the COB-608 DW for higher-output applications and the COB-480 DW for lower-power, narrower runs.

Do I need a special controller?
Yes. The COB-608 DW requires a dual-channel (2-channel) PWM controller — one channel for the 3000K LEDs, one for the 6000K LEDs. A single-channel dimmer will only control one colour temperature at a time and cannot mix them. RGBW controllers with two white channels (dual-CCT) are compatible. Always confirm the controller has at least two independent dimmable outputs before purchasing.

Can I mix the two colour temperatures?
Yes. By adjusting the output level of each channel independently, you can produce any white tone between pure 3000K and pure 6000K — including neutral white at roughly equal mix. The mixing ratio is controlled entirely by the dual-channel dimmer setting.

Which IP rating should I choose?
IP42 for dry indoor installations (ceiling coves, under-cabinet). IP65 for covered outdoor use (soffits, sheltered eaves). IP67 for outdoor areas exposed to rain. IP68 for wet environments or where submersion is possible. Do not mix IP ratings on the same run — each variant has a different silicone coating.

What is the difference between this and the COB-840 RGB?
The COB-840 RGB (13929) produces RGB colour (red, green, blue) for dynamic colour effects; the COB-608 DW produces only white light — warm 3000K and cool 6000K — tunable between those two points. If you need colour-changing effects, choose the RGB model. If you need precise white colour tuning, choose the DW model. Both share the same 10 mm COB platform and 24VDC input.

Dual-channel controller required. — The COB-608 DW has two independent LED channels (3000K and 6000K) and needs a dual-channel PWM controller. A single-channel dimmer controls only one colour at a time. Confirm your controller has at least two dimmable outputs before ordering.

24VDC only. — Not compatible with 12VDC. Always pair with a 24VDC power supply rated for total current draw (approx. 0.83A/m at full power both channels) with a 20% margin. Undersized supplies cause dimming and shortened LED lifetime.

CRI >90 on both channels. — Unlike RGB strips where CRI is not applicable, both the 3000K and 6000K channels meet CRI >90. The combined mixed-white output retains high colour fidelity, making this strip suitable for colour-critical applications like retail display and gallery lighting.

Cuts at 26.3 mm intervals. — Always cut at marked PCB points. The COB-480 DW (13942) cuts at 50 mm; the COB-480 (13923) offers both 25 mm and 50 mm. Never cut between marks — this breaks the circuit.
