The ILED-DL-A D1 is a recessed COB downlight for ceilings that need the general light to read well on colour, not just to be bright. The four sizes run from the 13W 3-inch head to the 40W 8-inch head, all from a single CREE COB rather than a ring of SMD points, and the COB is what the CRI above 92 rests on: one even source, one clean field of light, no colour fringing between separate dots.
The four sizes
The ILED-DL3-A D1 is the 13W, 1500 lumens, a φ110mm body into a φ95mm cutout. The ILED-DL4-A D1 is 18W, 2000 lumens, Φ145mm into Φ120-130mm. The ILED-DL6-A D1 is 30W, 3200 lumens, Φ190mm into Φ165-170mm. The ILED-DL8-A D1 is the 40W, 4300 lumens, Φ230mm into Φ200-210mm. All four run at 110 lumens per watt from the CREE COB, so the bigger models get their output from a bigger light source, not from running the chip harder. That is the difference between this and a cheaper downlight that quotes a big wattage and a small lumen number.
Colour rendering is the point
CRI above 92 is the reason this range exists alongside the SMD D2 series. On a shop floor, a hotel corridor or a restaurant dining room, the difference between CRI 82 and CRI 92 shows up in the merchandise, the food and the guests’ skin tones, and the COB source holds that figure across the beam, not just at the centre. Colour temperature runs 2800K to 6500K, from a warm tungsten match to a cool daylight tone, and power factor is above 0.9.
Beam and distribution
The beam is 60°, wide enough for general lighting and defined enough to keep the light on the floor plan rather than on the walls. The diffuser on the front smooths the COB into one even field. For tighter accent work the D10 gimbal head is the member of the family to reach for; the D1 is the fixture that lights the room.
Dimming and control
The driver options are DALI, Triac and 0-10V, specified at order time because the fixture is built around the option chosen. Triac runs from a plain wall dimmer, DALI ties into a building management bus, and 0-10V takes an analog control signal. An emergency kit is available on the same body, so a corridor that needs a held level on a power cut uses the same fixture as the rest of the ceiling.
Body and installation
The body is aluminum with a PC diffuser, in white or black, and it recesses into the cutout on the spring clips. Electrical classification is Class II double-insulated, so the fixture does not need an earth at the position. Input is 220-240VAC or the wide 110-277VAC version depending on the market, and the rating is IP42 or IP44 depending on the model, so the IP44 versions go over a bathroom splash zone without a second fixture family. The spring-clip mounting is the same across the range: cut the hole, wire the driver, push the clips up.

And residential living rooms and kitchens, where one range covers the whole job from the 13W head to the 40W.

Each unit ships as a single downlight with the driver wired in, the spring clips fitted and the terminal block ready to connect. The driver type, Triac, DALI or 0-10V, and the colour temperature are the choices to confirm at order, because the fixture is built around them. No lamp to buy separately: the CREE COB is part of the fixture, and the diffuser is fitted at the factory.
