The MRSP-A001 is the MR16 bulb for the fittings that run on a low-voltage transformer: the landscape spots, the display cabinets, the kitchen under-cabinet strips and the older track heads wired for 12V. It is a dimmable COB replacement in the MR16 format — 50mm across, 50mm tall — and it drops into the socket the halogen MR16s were running.
The COB source
The light source is a single COB chip, which is what gives the bulb its even 115° beam: one light surface rather than a ring of SMD points, so the pool of light on the floor or the shelf reads smooth from edge to edge. Output is 450 lumens from 5 to 7 watts, roughly the halogen MR16 50W replacement class, and CRI is above 80 — the level that keeps the displays and the kitchen work surfaces reading true under it.
The 12V supply
The bulb runs on AC12V, which means it sits on the low-voltage side of a transformer — the electronic or magnetic type the 12V halogen fittings already carry. That is the one thing to check before ordering: the transformer must be LED-compatible, because the old halogen transformers were sized for 50W loads and some electronic types will not run a 7W LED cleanly. Match the transformer to the bulb, or replace it with an LED driver, and the rest of the swap is the socket.
Colour temperatures
Five colour options cover the practical range: 2700K, 3000K, 4000K, 5000K and 6000K. The 2700K and 3000K bins are the residential and hospitality warm whites; the 4000K is the neutral working light; the 5000K and 6000K bins suit the display and retail positions that run cool. The CCT is fixed per bulb and chosen at order time, so the fittings in one room should order the same bin.
Dimming
The bulb dims on a Triac dimmer, the leading-edge or trailing-edge type on the 12V side. Match the dimmer to the bulb the way any low-voltage dimming circuit expects — the dimmer, the transformer and the bulb as one chain — and the fade runs cleanly. On the fittings without a dimmer, the bulb switches on and off from the circuit like the halogen it replaces.
Body and build
The body is PC in white, 50×50mm, IP42 rated for the dry indoor fittings — the cabinets, the under-cabinet strips, the interior track heads. It is not a wet-position bulb, so the outdoor landscape spots need a rated fixture around it or a sealed fitting. The bulb carries SAA, CE and RoHS certification with a two-year warranty.

The decorative bulb range splits by socket and supply: the MRSP-A001 is the MR16 on AC12V for the low-voltage fittings; the GUSP-A001 is the GU10 on the mains, for the fittings that run the bulb directly from the wall supply. The choice is made by the fitting, not by preference — an MR16 socket takes the 12V bulb and a GU10 socket takes the mains one, and the two are not interchangeable. If the fittings are being replaced anyway and the wiring is being simplified, moving to GU10 mains fittings removes the transformers entirely; if the 12V infrastructure stays, this bulb is the drop-in.
