The ILED-CS-A S4 is the fairy string with two power options: three AA batteries where there is no socket, and a USB 5V supply where there is one. The same 5, 10 or 20-meter string runs the deck rail from the battery box and the party table from a power bank, which is why it is the string the event people buy — the supply follows the event instead of the other way round.
The dual supply
The battery box takes three AA batteries (not included) and runs the string at 4.5V, which puts the display on the deck rail, the tree, the tent pole and the marquee beam — anywhere the batteries go. The USB input runs the same string from a charger, a power bank or a laptop port for the positions that have power, and it is the cheaper way to run a long evening indoors. One string, two supplies, and the display moves between them without a second purchase.
The three lengths
The 5-meter string with 50 LEDs is the deck rail and the parasol length. The 10-meter with 100 LEDs is the pergola, the hedge and the party room. The 20-meter with 200 LEDs is the long run, wrapping the larger trees and the fence line. All three space the LEDs 10cm apart, and custom lengths are built by the factory to the measured display.
Colours, modes and control
Nine colours — white, warm white, yellow, green, red, blue, pink, purple and multicolour — ordered per theme. The remote runs eight flash modes plus constant lighting, and the timer holds the daily rhythm: 6 hours on, 18 off. The timer is the battery string’s best friend, because the three AA cells that would die in a night of constant light run for days on the timed cycle.
IP65 and the outdoors
The string is IP65 rated — dust-tight and protected against water jets — and the wire is PVC per the specification, thin and bendable, wrapping the rails and the branches and coiling back after the season. Keep the battery box and the USB connection sheltered, because that is the part no light string rates for full exposure.

Decks and patios, where the string runs the rail on batteries and moves to the USB supply when the party needs it longer. Tents and marquees, where the battery box means no cable ramp across the floor. Trees, shrubs and garden features, where no socket follows. Wedding tables and backdrops, where the power bank behind the drape runs the string. And the seasonal windows and displays, where the timer does the nightly switching across the whole run. In each of these the same pattern holds: the string goes where the display is, the supply goes where the power is, and the timer keeps the daily rhythm without anyone remembering to switch anything.
Specifying the string
Three decisions shape the order: the length against the measured run, the colour against the theme, and which supply carries which position — batteries for the runs without power, USB for the runs with it. Measure the rail or the run before ordering, because the factory builds custom lengths to the measurement and a custom length beats a row of joined short strings with a connection point every few meters. Plan the battery box position as well: it is the one part of the string that is visible, and it belongs where the shelter and the access both work.
What it is not
The string is a decorative product: it draws the outlines and the shapes, it does not illuminate a workspace. The specification does not carry a warranty row, so confirm the terms with the sales team at order time. And the IP65 rating covers the string, not the battery box or the USB connection — those two belong in the sheltered position, which is the one part of the run to plan before the fixings go in.
