The ILED-CL-A C7 Casambi version puts RGB or RGBW light in the ceiling and puts the control in your pocket. Casambi is a Bluetooth mesh lighting ecosystem: the heads talk to each other and to the Casambi app on a phone, with no control wire in the ceiling and no gateway box to install. For a room that wants colour or tunable white but cannot take a DMX or DALI run to every fixture, this is the version that skips the wiring problem entirely.
The three sizes
Three models share the same wireless control and the same 24V supply. The 7W head is the smallest, a 64mm body with a 55mm cutout, for a reading nook, a bedside or a single accent point. The 12W head is 85mm with a 75mm cutout, the size that suits a dining area, a desk or a group of displays. The 18W head is 105mm with a 95mm cutout, for the position that has to carry more of the room on its own. Each head takes one of three lenses, 15° for a tight spot, 24° for an all-round accent and 38° for a wider wash, and the lens is fitted in the factory, so the angle is a decision for the order form, not for the ladder.
The Casambi side
The control is a Casambi Bluetooth mesh module, and the ecosystem is the reason to pick this version. From the Casambi app you set colour and brightness per head, group heads into zones, build scenes, and run schedules, all over the mesh. The heads relay to each other, so the range extends past a single phone’s reach as long as each head is within range of the next. Casambi also has a wider ecosystem of compatible wall switches, dimmers and sensors that join the same mesh, so a project can add a physical switch later without rewiring. Remote access and voice control need an optional Casambi gateway; for phone control alone, the app and the heads are the whole system.
Colour and the lens
The light source is an RGB or RGBW COB. The RGB version mixes red, green and blue for colour washes. The RGBW version adds a dedicated white channel, which is the one to pick where the room needs a clean white key light from the same head and not just the colour. The lens decides how the light leaves the fixture: 15° puts a tight pool on one object, 24° is the all-round accent, 38° opens up for a shelf or a wall wash. Since the lens is factory-fitted, the right move is to confirm the angle per position when ordering, because it does not swap in the field.
Body, power and installation
The body is aluminum with a PC front, and each head recesses into its cutout and sits flush with the ceiling. The input is DC24V, and each head carries a 20cm five-wire input cable and a 20cm five-wire output cable, so a row of heads runs as a daisy-chain on one supply with no junction box at every position. The wireless side handles the control; the cable only carries the power. The IP42 rating keeps it in dry indoor ceilings, living rooms, offices, retail and hospitality, not bathrooms or wet zones.
