DC 24V SMD 3528 240 piece LED per Meter Flexible LED Strip Light
The ILED-FX-3528 240 is a high-density flexible LED strip with 240 SMD 3528 LEDs per meter. It runs on 24VDC, draws 19.2W per meter and puts out about 1,500 lumen per meter with a 120 degree beam. Each strip is a static single colour, from red, green, blue, yellow, warm white, commercial white or cool white. Cut it in 25mm steps, stick it down with the included 3M yellow tape, and power it from the 15cm input cable. Choose IP20 for dry walls or IP65 to IP68 where it meets water. A 50,000 hour rated life outlasts most installs.

The ILED-FX-3528 240 is a flexible LED strip built around the SMD 3528 package, packed at 240 LEDs per meter, the highest-density single-row strip in the 3528 range. It is the brightest single-colour line you can get on this package, and it runs on a 24V supply, which suits the high power draw at this density. That makes it the pick when you want a strong, near-solid line of light from a single-row strip.
Tech specs at a glance
The strip runs on 24VDC, draws 19.2W per meter and puts out about 1,500 lumen per meter with a 120 degree spread. Colour rendering is CRI above 80 as standard and above 90 on request. Each piece ships as a 5 meter roll, 10mm wide, cuttable in 25mm steps.
What 240 LEDs per meter means
At 240 LEDs per meter the line reads as nearly solid, with almost no visible gap between the points. It is the highest-output single-row 3528 we make, so it suits task and feature work where you want a strong, even line rather than a soft accent. The trade-off is the power draw, at 19.2W per meter, which is why this version runs on 24V so a long run stays even.
Choosing a colour
This is a static single-colour strip, so each piece is one fixed colour. You pick one of the seven available colours before ordering: red, green, blue, yellow, warm white, commercial white or cool white. It is not an RGB or multicolour strip, so the colour does not change on command. If you want colour changing, that is the 5050 RGB range, a different product.
24V power feeding
This version runs on 24VDC, not 12V. That is the right choice for the 19.2W per meter draw, because 24V drops less voltage over distance, so the whole run stays even. You will need a 24V supply sized for your total meters, and on very long lines you should feed power from both ends so the middle does not dim.
IP rating options
The same strip is offered in four protection ratings. IP20 is for dry indoor locations such as coves and cabinetry. IP65 handles covered outdoor and wet areas like eaves and facades. IP67 and IP68 are for where the strip gets fully wet or sits in harsh coastal air. Match the rating to the location, not the highest one on the list.
Build and installation
The strip cuts cleanly in 25mm steps, so you trim it to fit instead of bending a longer piece. It is 10mm wide, so check your cove, channel or gap clears that width before you commit. It is backed with 3M yellow double-sided tape, and a 3M red tape is available on request. A 15cm input cable is fitted to the leading end, and connector cables can be customized to a different length or plug.
What is in the box
Each order ships with the strip as a 5 meter roll, the 3M yellow mounting tape, and the 15cm input cable on the connection end. Custom lengths are cut to order from the same roll.
What you need to supply
You will need a 24VDC power supply sized for your total meters, which the 19.2W per meter figure makes easy to add up. For dimming, a compatible LED dimmer is available. If you are not hard-wiring, use an adapter or driver that matches the 24V supply.
Where it gets used
As the brightest single-row 3528 strip it suits task and worktop lighting, high-output coves, display and shop work, and any accent line that needs to carry real light. Outdoors the IP65 and above versions handle eaves, facades and garden edges. The single colours also make it useful for signage and feature lines.
Lifespan and reliability
The SMD 3528 LEDs carry a 50,000 hour rated life, which at typical use is well past a decade. There are no moving parts and no fan, so the strip does not fail through heat. It works from -20 C to 50 C, and with a properly sized 24V supply and feeding from both ends on long runs, the heat stays manageable even in a tight cove.
Here is what installers tell us they like about the 3528 240 piece strip:
The brightest single row. At 240 LEDs per meter it puts out about 1,500 lumen per meter, so the line reads as near-solid. It is the choice when you need a strong, even line of light, not a soft accent.
Runs on 24V. The 24V supply suits the 19.2W per meter draw, so a long run stays even instead of dimming at the far end.
Single colour, no controller. It is a static strip, so there is no addressing to set up. You power it and it runs the one colour you chose, which keeps the install simple.
Cut to the exact length. The 25mm cut step means you trim the strip to fit instead of wasting meters or bending a piece that will not sit flat.
Ready to stick. 3M yellow tape is on the back as standard, so most indoor runs do not need any other mounting method.
The 240 here is a single-row strip, 10mm wide, running on 24V. The 240D is the double-row version, which is wider at 15mm. Both carry 240 LEDs per meter, but the layout and width differ, so check which physical form you need for your cove or channel.
They all use the SMD 3528 LED, but the density changes the output. The 60 piece is a soft accent, the 120 piece is the bright all-rounder, and the 240 piece here is the densest and brightest single-row option, at about 1,500 lumen per meter.
At 19.2W per meter the strip draws a lot of current. Running it on 24V drops less voltage over the run length than 12V would, so the far end stays as bright as the near end. You will feed it from a 24V supply, and on very long lines from both ends.
No. The ILED-FX-3528 240 is a static strip, so each piece is one fixed colour from red, green, blue, yellow, warm white, commercial white or cool white. It does not change colour. If you need colour changing, that is the 5050 RGB range, a different product.
Under a covered roof eave, IP65 is enough. Where the strip gets fully wet, splashed hard or sits in coastal salt air, use IP67 or IP68. Match the rating to how wet the location is.
The strip cuts cleanly every 25mm on the marked line. Butt two lengths together and solder the wires, or use a 4-pin connector, keeping the lines matched. In wet locations, seal the joint with silicone.
Add up your total meters and multiply by 19.2W. A 5 meter run is about 96W, so size a 24VDC supply with a little headroom over that, and feed long lines from both ends. Add a 24V dimmer if you want to fade it.
The densest, brightest 3528 single-row strips like this one are used where you want a strong, near-solid line of light:
Task and worktop lighting. The 1,500 lumen per meter is enough to use as genuine lighting, not just a glow, so it suits kitchen worktops, reading zones and any surface that needs to be properly lit through the day.
High-output coves and feature lines. A long cove that needs to carry real light across a room is a good fit, especially on 24V so the output stays even from one end to the other.
Display and shop lighting. The output suits display areas, counters and shop fronts where the line needs to read as genuinely bright rather than just decorative.
Signage and edge accents. The single red, green, blue, yellow and white colours are handy where one fixed colour and a strong, even line are exactly what the design calls for.
Architectural and facade. With IP65 and above, the strip outlines eaves, columns, canopies and garden edges outdoors, where it is weatherproof but still a strong, clean line of light.
A few things to check before ordering:
It runs on 24V only. This version is a 24V strip, so you need a 24VDC supply. Do not feed it from a 12V source, because it will not run correctly on the wrong voltage.
Size the power supply. Multiply your total meters by 19.2W and buy a little above that figure. Undersizing is the most common cause of a strip that dims at the far end.
Feed long runs from both ends. With this much current, a very long line benefits from power at each end, so the middle does not dim.
Match the IP rating to the location. IP20 is dry indoor only. Use IP65 for covered outdoor and wet areas, and IP67 or IP68 for full or harsh exposure.
Remember it is single colour. The strip is static, one fixed colour per piece, from the seven available options. If you need changing colours, that is the 5050 RGB range.
