The ILED-NT1 Mini Neon is a flexible silicone jacket designed to slip over standard 5 mm or 6 mm width LED strip lights, transforming them into a neon-style side-lit tube. The food-grade silicone diffuser creates a soft, uniform glow along the full length of the strip with no visible LED dots — achieving the aesthetic of traditional gas neon without the fragility, high voltage, or maintenance requirements. Important — LED Strip Sold Separately
The ILED-NT1 Mini Neon is a silicone diffuser cover only; the LED strip light is not included. You must select a compatible LED strip separately. The NT1 accepts any 5 mm or 6 mm width PCB LED tape — choose either a 120 LEDs/m SMD strip or a 480 LEDs/m COB strip. COB strips produce a denser, more uniform glow inside the neon tube, while SMD strips are more cost-effective. Always verify the PCB width of your selected strip matches the 5 mm or 6 mm requirement before ordering the neon cover.
Side-Lighting Design
Unlike top-emitting LED strips that shine light upward or downward, the ILED-NT1 is designed for side illumination. The silicone jacket emits light laterally at a 120° beam angle, creating a even, continuous neon-like glow around the entire circumference of the tube. This side-lighting approach eliminates hot spots and produces the classic neon aesthetic — a smooth, glowing line of colour or white light with no visible LED points.
Food-Grade Silicone Construction
The NT1 is manufactured from food-grade silicone, which is non-toxic, UV-resistant, and rated for outdoor use. The IP67 rating means the cover protects against temporary submersion — suitable for outdoor signage, façade lighting, and landscape installations. The silicone remains flexible across a wide temperature range (-20°C to 50°C) and does not yellow or crack over time.
