The ILED-FX-3528 is a flexible SMD 3528 LED strip in five brightness variants, each using standard 3.5 mm × 2.8 mm single-chip LED packages on a bendable printed circuit. It is controlled by a single-channel PWM dimmer — the entire strip changes brightness as one zone. Choose the variant that matches your lumen requirement and power budget.

Colour options
Seven colours are available: Red, Green, Blue, Yellow, Warm White, Cool White, and Commercial White. The saturated colours (R/G/B/Y) are chosen for accent and decorative lighting where a specific hue is needed. The white variants differ in colour temperature: Warm White (2700K–3000K) for residential ambience, Cool White (5500K–6500K) for task lighting and commercial spaces, and Commercial White (4000K) as a neutral middle ground used in offices and retail environments.
CRI >80 is standard across all variants. CRI >90 is available as an upgrade for white colour models only — specify it at order time. Saturated colours do not carry a CRI rating because CRI only applies to white light sources.
IP rating options
The FX-3528 comes in four IP variants: IP20 for dry indoor use, IP65 for splash-proof outdoor coverage, IP67 for temporary submersion, and IP68 for continuous underwater use. Each variant uses a different silicone coating, so do not mix IP ratings on the same run — the joints will not seal correctly and moisture will enter at the transition point.
Build and installation
The strip is mounted on a flexible PCB with a 3M adhesive backing — standard yellow, with red available as an option. It cuts every 25 mm along marked copper pads. Each roll includes a 15 cm output cable. Standard roll length is 5 metres; custom lengths are available on request.
For runs over 3 metres on compatible models, 24VDC is recommended to reduce voltage drop and maintain brightness at the far end. The 30 and 60 LEDs/m models are 12VDC only and work best for shorter runs under 3 metres. Always add 20% current margin when sizing your power supply to keep it running cool and extend its lifespan.
What is in the box
One 5 metre roll of the selected variant with the 15 cm input cable attached. The 3M backing is pre-applied and ready to stick once the surface is cleaned and dried. No controller or power supply is included — those are separate items.
What you need to supply
A 12VDC or 24VDC power supply rated for the total wattage of your strip run plus 20% headroom. A single-channel PWM dimmer — any standard LED dimmer that accepts the input voltage of your strip. Connectors or solder for joining strip sections end to end. Heat-shrink tubing or electrical tape for insulating cut-end copper contacts.
Where it gets used
Residential under-cabinet and shelf lighting — the 30 and 60 LEDs/m models are low-power and economical for kitchens, wardrobes, and display cases. Ceiling coves and architectural accent channels — the 120 and 240 LEDs/m models deliver even illumination with a 120° beam angle. Retail display backlighting and commercial signage — the 240 and 240D variants provide high brightness for light boxes and illuminated signs. Outdoor soffit and façade lighting with IP65/IP67/IP68 variants. Automotive and marine interior accents where compact width matters. Event and stage temporary installations that need quick mount and removal.
Lifespan and reliability
Rated at 50,000 hours under normal operating conditions. The LED junction temperature range is -20°C to 50°C — avoid enclosing the strip in sealed spaces without ventilation, as trapped heat shortens LED life. At 12 hours of daily use, that is roughly 11.5 years before brightness falls to acceptable end-of-life levels. The 3M adhesive may weaken over several years in high-heat environments; re-mount with additional fixing clips if the bond softens. The 50,000-hour rating assumes the strip is operated within its specified voltage and temperature range.
