Tech specs at a glance

The ILED-PL6060-A DALI is a slim 40W LED panel light in the standard 595 × 595mm ceiling tile format. It produces 4000 lumens at 100–110 lumens per watt from an edge-lit LM80 LED source, drawing power from 220–240VAC or 110–277VAC with a power factor above 0.9. The housing is 11mm thick with an aluminum body finished in white or silver, and the diffuser is a non-yellowing PMMA plate that spreads light across a 120° beam angle. UGR is 22 as standard, with an optional UGR below 19 glare-control version available. The CCT switch lets you choose between 2800K warm white and 6500K cool white at installation — all variants maintain CRI above 80. This panel belongs to the ILED-PL6060-A family alongside the standard non-dimmable and emergency+DALI versions, sharing the same housing and optical system.

Optical system and light distribution

The edge-lit design uses a PMMA light guide plate to spread light uniformly across the full panel surface. Light from the perimeter LEDs travels through the guide plate and exits through micro-structures printed on the plate surface, creating even brightness with no visible hot spots or dark zones. The 120° beam angle covers a broad area without needing multiple overlapping fixtures. A prismatic or frosted diffuser option is available if further softening of the light output is desired. This optical system is the same as the standard and emergency variants in the ILED-PL6060-A family — only the driver differs, so the light quality is consistent across all three models.

DALI dimming control

The branded DALI driver provides digital addressable lighting interface control — the standard two-wire protocol used in commercial building management systems. Each panel receives a unique DALI address, allowing individual dimming, scene programming, and group control. Set brightness levels per zone, schedule on/off times, and integrate with occupancy sensors or daylight harvesting systems. Unlike proprietary wireless controllers, DALI is an open standard that works with any DALI-compatible BMS without additional gateways or adapters. Common compatible controllers include systems from Lutron, Crestron, Siemens, and Schneider Electric. The driver supports standard DALI-2 features including group addressing, scene recall, and device testing. Dimming range covers 10% to 100% of rated output.

Build and installation

The 11mm slim profile fits standard 600 × 600mm T-bar suspended ceiling grids with no modification to the framework. Spring clips on each corner secure the panel from above — install from the ceiling void and clip into place. The aluminum housing resists warping and the PMMA diffuser does not yellow over time. IP42 rating covers indoor environments with moderate dust or occasional splashes, such as offices, corridors, and retail floors. The panel is not rated for wet or outdoor locations. A cut-out of approximately 565 × 565mm is needed for recessed mounting. Connect only mains power and the DALI pair — no separate control wiring required. The driver compartment is accessible from below the ceiling for service or CCT adjustment.

Certifications and warranty

The ILED-PL6060-A DALI carries CE and ROHS certifications for electrical safety and restricted substances. The LM80-rated LED source is backed by a 3-to-5-year warranty depending on region and driver configuration. Replace the driver only with an identical DALI-branded unit to maintain certification compliance.

Where it gets used

Offices, retail stores, hotel corridors, classrooms, and healthcare waiting areas — anywhere a standard ceiling tile format is needed alongside DALI dimming control and centralized building management.

Here is what we hear from customers:

Standard ceiling tile size. The 595 × 595mm format drops into a suspended T-bar grid without modifying the existing framework. No cutting, no extra framing — it replaces a standard tile directly.

11mm slim profile. At 11mm thick this is one of the slimmest panels in its class. It works where ceiling void depth is limited and a bulkier housing would not fit.

Open DALI standard. No proprietary gateway or dongle required. The branded DALI driver speaks the same two-wire protocol as any commercial BMS — connect it and address it like any other DALI fixture on the bus.

Non-yellowing PMMA diffuser. Cheaper panels shift warm over time as the plastic degrades under heat. The PMMA plate in this panel is rated to resist yellowing, so the light output stays consistent year after year.

Flicker-free for eye comfort. The constant-current driver eliminates visible flicker, which matters in offices and classrooms where people spend hours under the lights.

The ILED-PL6060-A DALI is a standard ceiling tile panel with centralized dimming control, suited wherever even light distribution and smart lighting integration are needed.

Offices. Open-plan floors and private offices benefit from the uniform 120° beam and low-glare option. DALI scene control lets you dim to daylight levels in the afternoon, saving energy without switching panels off. Different zones can maintain different brightness levels — brighter near windows, dimmer in interior workspaces.

Retail stores. CRI above 80 keeps product colours accurate on shelves and displays. The slim profile keeps the ceiling unobtrusive so attention stays on the merchandise. DALI scene presets let you switch between display mode and closing-time dimming with a single command.

Hotels and hospitality. Different brightness levels can be set for corridors, lobbies, and guest rooms via separate DALI groups, giving facilities managers flexible control across the property. Guest room panels can be grouped for scene-based control such as “read,” “relax,” or “night.”

Schools and classrooms. The UGR below 19 option keeps glare low for students and teachers. DALI scheduling aligns lights with class timetables — on before the bell, off when rooms are empty.

A few practical points to check before ordering the ILED-PL6060-A DALI:

Set the DALI address before mounting. Programming the address is much easier at a workbench than on a ladder. Connect the DALI pair, assign the address with a tool or BMS, then clip the panel into the ceiling.

Choose the CCT before installation. The 3CCT switch is inside the driver — you set it once and it stays. If you need different colour temperatures in different zones, order each variant separately rather than trying to adjust after mounting.

Confirm the DALI bus capacity. A standard DALI power supply can address up to 64 devices on one bus. Size your DALI PSU and trunk cable cross-section accordingly, especially for larger installations with many panels across multiple zones.

Check the cut-out size. The recessed opening should be approximately 565 × 565mm for a clean fit in a standard 600 × 600mm ceiling tile grid.
