The FEL-S1 A is the single-colour member of the FEL-S1 Fresnel family. It pairs a 200W COB with a real Fresnel lens for the soft-edged beam that theatre and studio work still calls for, in a fixture that draws a fraction of the power of the tungsten units it replaces and never needs a lamp change. Where the S1 B adds bi-colour tuning across 2700–6400K, the S1 A keeps it simple: one fixed colour temperature, chosen at order.
Light quality
The COB runs at 3000K, the warm tungsten-side colour that theatres expect from a Fresnel, with colour rendering at CRI above 97 and CQS of at least 96. That combination is what keeps skin tones and costumes reading naturally to the audience and to the camera, without the green shift or the flat rendering that lesser fixtures show when they are dimmed down. It also means the fixture drops into an existing warm rig without gel correction, since the colour out of the box is the colour the rig was designed around.
Optics and zoom
The Fresnel lens produces the soft-edged pool that blends into the surrounding wash instead of cutting a hard circle through it. The beam zooms manually from a 10-degree spot to a 50-degree flood, enough range to take the same fixture from a soloist special to a general area wash during a focus call. A motorised auto-zoom version is available as an option when the console needs the focus.
Control and dimming
Control is DMX512 with RDM, so addresses and status readback can be handled from the console instead of up a ladder. The fixture runs two channels for 16-bit fine dimming, with four dimming curves selectable to match the fade behaviour you want. The PWM frequency runs from 1 to 20 kHz, which covers the settings film and broadcast crews use at high frame rates. Built-in programs run the fixture standalone when no console is rigged. Connections are 3-pin or 5-pin XLR for DMX plus an RJ45 interface, and power enters through Seetronic connectors with genuine Neutrik available as an option.
Build and cooling
The housing is aluminium with a matte grey finish, and a fan keeps the 200W COB cool through long sessions. It measures 481×324×444mm and hangs on a standard lighting stand or rigging point. The rating is IP20, so this is an indoor fixture for stages, studios and covered venues.
Power and data connections
Power runs in through the Seetronic connector, with Neutrik available at order if your stock prefers them, on a 110–240VAC input that covers international tours without voltage concerns. Data is on standard 3-pin or 5-pin XLR for DMX daisy-chaining, with the RJ45 interface alongside. The fixture is its own dimmer, so nothing else needs to be patched between it and the supply.

Houses of worship and conference halls value the simple DMX integration, and rental houses stock it as the long-life replacement for their ageing tungsten Fresnels.
Lifespan
The LED source is rated for 50,000 hours. Run twelve hours a day and that is more than eleven years before the source is a question, with no lamps to stock or swap in the meantime. The fan is the main service point and stays accessible without special tools.
