The ILED-BH-R275-EL is the eyelid version of the round 275mm exterior bulkhead. The half-moon visor under the housing tips the light downward, which suits walls where people walk underneath and a straight-on glow would bother them. It is the pick for corridors, stairwells and porches at eye level, and it mounts in the same holes as the plain, grille and crossing variants in the family, so one stock line covers all four faces.
Why the eyelid design
A plain diffuser sends light out in every direction, and the upward share becomes glare when the fixture is low on a wall. The eyelid face sits lower than the housing rim and shades that upward part, so most of the output lands on the path below. The result is a concentrated downward spill: the wall and the floor get lit, and passers-by do not look straight into the source. The trade-off is that the wall wash is narrower than the plain version, which is exactly what you want when the light is high enough to see from the path it serves.
Build and mounting
The housing is machined from die-cast aluminum and finished in white, black or silver gray. A silicone gasket around the diffuser rim makes the IP65 seal, and the anti-UV diffuser does not yellow with age. IK10 is a 20-joule impact rating, so trolleys, brooms and maintenance kit can strike it in a car park without damage. It is a surface mount: the flange carries pre-drilled holes, the unit sits flush to the wall, and the driver sits inside the sealed body, so nothing else has to be fixed to the wall.
Voltage and control options
The base unit is direct-on and runs on 220-240VAC or 110-277VAC, so one stock line covers both regional supplies. Colour temperature is chosen at the bench: it is a 3CCT build, so you pick warm, neutral or cool white before the diffuser is closed. Three upgrades are available, all fitted in the factory so the seal is not opened later. A DALI driver replaces the fixed unit with one that takes standard dimming commands. A standby PIR sensor version runs the light at a low level until someone moves, then climbs to full. An emergency version adds a battery so it keeps lighting when the mains drops. None of these is a field retrofit.
Contenu de la boîte
Each carton holds the bulkhead with the eyelid diffuser you ordered, the driver already wired in, and the surface-mounting screws. There is no separate transformer or controller in the box, so the fixture is ready to wire straight to the supply. If you ordered a DALI, sensor or emergency option, that module is already in place before it ships.
Ce que vous devez fournir
You need standard fixing for the surface mount and a junction box behind the wall where there is no existing conduit. For a DALI version, a DALI power supply and controller are separate purchases. For the emergency version, the circuit has to sit on a protected board so the battery charges while the mains is up. Beyond that, a screwdriver and wire strippers cover the install.
Où est-il utilisé ?
It is built for exterior wall mounting where downward light is wanted. Corridor walls in schools, offices and housing benefit from the even downward spread that keeps the path lit without glaring passers-by. Stairwells and porch entries use the visor to light steps and thresholds. Car parks and loading bays lean on the IK10 and IP65 for day-in, day-out knocks and weather. Near the coast, the powder-coated body and sealed driver shrug off salt spray. One SKU also lets a project run a warm white at the entrance and a cooler white at the rear service door.
Certifications and warranty
The ILED-BH-R275-EL carries SAA for Australia and New Zealand, CE for Europe, and RoHS. The warranty runs from three to five years, depending on the region and which option was fitted. The sealed driver and gasketed diffuser mean you do not open the unit; a wipe of the diffuser face keeps it looking right.
