The G9 halogen capsule was the bulb that made small decorative fittings possible and the electricity bill painful: 25 to 40 watts of heat in a capsule the size of a thumb, burning out on a schedule. The ILED-BL60-A A replaces it like for like — a glass COB G9 that runs the same socket at a fraction of the power and holds the compact size the fittings were designed around.
The three outputs
The 3W runs 280 to 300 lumens from a 49×13mm glass body, which is the shortest of the three and suits the fittings with tight space behind the capsule. The 4W runs 380 to 400 lumens from 60×13mm. The 5W runs 480 to 500 lumens from 60×16mm, and it is the output that replaces the brighter 33W and 40W halogen capsules. All three run a COB chip behind glass, so the light reads as one even capsule rather than a ring of dots, which matters in the fittings where the capsule is visible through glass.
The COB and the glass
Two build choices separate this bulb from the cheaper G9 LEDs. The chip is COB — one chip, one even light surface — rather than a cluster of SMD points, so the light through a glass shade or a crystal drop stays smooth. And the body is glass rather than plastic, which keeps the capsule looking like the halogen it replaces and handles the heat the way a small enclosed fitting expects. Colour runs in two bins: 2700-3000K warm white and 6000-6500K cool white, chosen per room rather than mixed in one fitting.
Voltage and fitting
The bulb runs direct on 220V or 110V, so it suits the European, Australian and North American fittings without a transformer. Check the fitting’s maximum bulb length before ordering the 4W and 5W, because the 60mm bodies are longer than the 49mm 3W, and an enclosed capsule holder has less room behind the glass than it appears. The two colour bins ship separately, so a fitting that needs warm white takes the 2700-3000K version and a fitting that needs cool takes the 6000-6500K version — order them against the room, not against the socket.
Flicker
The product is built without stroboscopic flicker, which is the other reason it replaces the halogen cleanly. In a chandelier of G9 sockets — the dandelion forms, the crystal rings, the multi-arm fittings — a bulb that flickers shows at every drop, and one that does not keeps the room calm on camera and to the eye.

Two practical checks before ordering — the length of the bulb against the space behind the fitting’s glass, and whether the fitting runs a dimmer, because the specification does not list dimming for this bulb and a non-dimmable bulb on a dimmer circuit misbehaves. For the fittings without a dimmer, the swap is a same-afternoon job across a whole chandelier, and the heat the old capsules pushed into the room disappears with them.
