RGB RGBW SPI LED Downlights Recessed

The ILED-CL-A C10 is a recessed SPI LED downlight with RGB or RGBW COB output. It is a color fixture first: the SPI control changes colors and effects through a controller, and the same unit works in a Madrix System. Each housing carries a 20cm input cable and a 20cm output cable, so a run of fixtures can be chained without extra boxes in the ceiling.

Models

Three models cover the range:

• ILED-CL2-A C10 7W: 400 lm, body 64mm diameter by 59mm deep, cutout 55mm
• ILED-CL3-A C10 12W: 600 lm, body 85mm diameter by 95mm deep, cutout 75mm
• ILED-CL4-A C10 18W (20W): 1200 lm, body 105mm diameter by 100mm deep, cutout 95mm

The 18W model is listed at 20W in the spec table. Each step up adds output and opening size, so the cutout should be chosen against the ceiling plan. The 7W model suits a small accent; the 18W model covers a larger area or a higher ceiling.

Color and optics

The source is an RGB or RGBW COB. RGBW adds a white channel, which gives pastel tones and a clean white in addition to the RGB colors, so the same fixture works as a color light and a white light. Lenses are fixed at order in 15°, 24°, or 38°. The 15° optic is a tight spot; the 24° suits general display lighting; the 38° spreads widest. The lens cannot be swapped after delivery, so it should be decided against the ceiling plan.

Contrôle

The fixture uses SPI control and is compatible with a Madrix System. SPI runs on a clocked data signal, so fixtures in a chain respond in sync with the controller. The 20cm input and output cables allow one unit to feed the next. Controller and power supply are chosen by the installer; they are not part of the fixture, so the system cost sits outside the downlights themselves.

Construction

The housing is aluminum with a PC component. The IP42 rating covers dry indoor rooms. The fixture recesses into a plasterboard ceiling, and the round body sits flush against the board. The aluminum body also carries heat away from the COB source, which keeps the driver and LED within working range in enclosed ceilings.

Power

Input is DC24V or DC12V, so the fixture needs a matching power supply rather than a mains connection. The supply size depends on the number of fixtures on the run. Confirm the voltage with the order, because the driver input must match the supply.

Installation

Cut a round opening to the cutout size for the model, feed the input cable, wire the chain, then seat the housing. Connect the output cable of one unit to the input of the next. Keep the total load within the controller and supply rating. Always switch off the supply before wiring. On a long chain, plan the cable path so each 20cm output reaches the next fixture without a splice. The chain wiring also means the controller needs one data line to the first unit, not a cable to every fixture.

Where it fits

The C10 suits bars, restaurants, clubs, and retail displays where color lighting is part of the design. In a bar, a row of 24° units changes color with the music. In a shop, the RGBW white channel lights products cleanly during the day and the color effects take over at night. In a lobby, the same fixture runs slow color washes that do not distract the front desk. In a theater foyer, the SPI sync keeps every unit on the same effect across the room.

• Voltage. The fixture runs on DC24V or DC12V. Confirm the supply with the order, because the driver input must match.
• Controller. SPI needs a compatible controller, and Madrix System works with this fixture. Check the controller output before ordering.
• Cutout. Cutouts run from 55mm to 95mm depending on the model. Measure the ceiling opening before ordering.
• Lens angle. 15°, 24°, or 38° is fixed at order and cannot be swapped in the field.
• Chain load. The output cable feeds the next unit, so keep the total load within the controller and supply rating.
• Dry indoor only. IP42 is for dry indoor rooms, not outdoor or damp locations. Keep the fixture inside the building envelope.
• Supply and controller. Neither is included with the fixture, so order them with the downlights.
