The triangle uplighter exists because the round can never quite does the job. A round fixture on the floor against a wall either stands off the surface on its base or leans at an angle; the ILED-FEL-X4’s wedge shape sits flat against the wall base, tilts the beam up the surface, and reads from the room as a deliberate design object rather than a bucket of electronics. It is the form the wedding and event rental market has settled on, and this one carries the full RGBWAUV engine and a battery behind it.
The triangle form
The wedge body solves three problems at once. It sits flat against the wall, so the beam starts at the surface and climbs it. It does not roll or need a bracket, so the fixture goes down on the floor and stays where it is put. And the shape stacks in the flight case, which is why rental houses build their inventory around triangles rather than round cans. The body stands upright, mounts flat or hangs, per the specification, and the aluminum shell is the heat sink, so the fixture runs silent.
RGBWAUV colour
The engine is a 6-in-1 RGBWAUV array with 16.7 million colour combinations. The white channel runs the clean room reveal; the amber warms the stone and the drapes; the UV channel runs the fluorescent-effect looks for the party after the dinner, and it is the channel most 5-in-1 uplights leave out. Colour matches across a room of fixtures from the control system, so every pillar and every drape holds the same shade at the same time.
Battery and charging
The built-in 4800mAh lithium battery frees the fixture from the wall socket, which is the point of battery uplighting: the fixtures go where the room needs them, not where the power outlets are. Runtime depends on how hard the fixture is driven, so a dim amber wash runs longer than a full-output colour show; time the fixture at event brightness and plan the booking around it. Charging runs from any AC100-250V supply at 50/60Hz, and the fixture can also run on mains where the venue offers a floor box.
Control without a console
Wedding rigs rarely carry a lighting desk, and the X4 is built for that. Wired DMX512 and 2.4G wireless DMX512 are there for the shows that run one, master-slave links a room of fixtures to the first one, self-propelled programs run without any controller, and the infrared remote and WiFi phone app for Apple and Android cover the setup on the day. Channel modes are 6, 8 or 10.
Beam and mounting
The beam comes in 15° or 40°, fixed per fixture and chosen at order time. The 15° lens throws the defined column up a pillar or a marquee pole; the 40° lens washes the drape or the wall section broad and even. Output is 54W, the rating is IP42 for dry indoor venues, and the three mounting modes, standing, surface-mounted or hanging, cover the positions a venue asks for. There are no fans in the body: the aluminum shell is the heat sink, which is why a room of triangles runs silent under the speeches and the toasts.
