The round reflector housing projects light symmetrically in all horizontal directions, which is advantageous when the fixture orientation relative to the target area may vary during installation. The FL9 1000W delivers approximately 120,000 lm from a single fixture, compared with 60,000 lm from the FL9 500W. The 1000W model also uses a larger φ645×380 mm housing versus the 500W’s φ445×350 mm housing. Both share the same 120° beam angle, IP65 rating, 120 lm/W efficacy and wide voltage input. Choose the 1000W for large stadiums and extensive industrial yards; choose the 500W for smaller sports fields and medium-span applications.
IP65 means dust protection and resistance to water jets from any direction. For a tower-mounted fixture, this seals the LED array and driver against dust accumulation and rain splash — preventing internal condensation or corrosion over years of exposed operation.
Optimised for downward tower mounting, the FL9 1000W can also be aimed at building facades, bridge undersides and monument surfaces. The 120° beam provides broad wash lighting for general façade illumination; for accent or uplighting with tighter pools, consider a narrower-beam alternative.
DALI is not in the spec table. The standard FL9 1000W uses an integral non-dimmable driver. If centralised dimming or daylight harvesting is required for a project, contact the sales team to confirm whether a DALI-enabled variant exists.
CRI70 renders colours adequately for sports and industrial environments where functional visibility is the priority. CRI80 provides noticeably better colour fidelity, making it preferable for broadcast sports venues, retail facades and architectural applications where accurate colour appearance matters.
A 2000W metal halide typically produces 120,000–160,000 lm. One ILED-FL9 1000W (≈120,000 lm) matches the lower end of that range at half the power draw. For higher illuminance requirements, two FL9 1000W units in a staggered tower layout exceed a single metal halide fixture while using 40% less energy.
Stadiums and sports fields. — The primary application. The FL9 1000W’s 120° beam and 120,000 lm output cover football pitches, athletics stadiums and large sports complexes from tower-mounted positions, delivering uniform illuminance across the playing surface with minimal fixture count.
Industrial sites and warehouses. — Large-span factories, distribution centres and aircraft hangars use the FL9 1000W for high-bay yard lighting. The IP65-rated housing withstands dust, oil mist and temperature swings common in industrial outdoor areas.
Architectural façade and landmark lighting. — Building exteriors, bridge undersides and public monuments are illuminated by aiming the FL9 1000W upward or at an angle. The 120° spread creates a soft, even wash suitable for general façade highlighting rather than precise accent work.

Mounting height. — The 120° beam is optimised for tower mounts between 10 m and 20 m above ground. At lower mounts the spill extends too far; at greater heights the illuminance drops. Confirm the mounting height before ordering.
CRI selection. — Standard CRI70 is adequate for sports and industrial use. If the flood light will be used for broadcast venues, retail facades or architectural accent lighting, specify CRI80 at order — it is not a field-changeable upgrade.
DALI availability. — DALI is not confirmed as a standard feature for the FL9 1000W. If daylight harvesting or remote dimming is required, contact the sales team before ordering to confirm whether a DALI variant exists.
Wide voltage verification. — The FL9 1000W accepts 110–277VAC input, covering both North American (110–120V) and European (220–240V) supply standards. Confirm the local supply voltage — remote tower points with very low voltage may require a dedicated circuit.
Tempered glass front. — The FL9 1000W uses a tempered glass front panel, which offers superior impact resistance compared to polycarbonate. For locations with high debris risk, the glass front is the recommended choice.
