The FEL-AD1 sits where the light has to be aimed and the ceiling cannot or should not be cut: surface-mounted, adjustable, and on the same DMX512 run as the rest of the FEL-AD family.

A: Surface mounted. The φ76mm base fixes to the ceiling and the ⌀62×122mm cylinder hangs below it, with a head that tilts to aim the beam. It is the surface-mounted, adjustable-head member of the FEL-AD family; the recessed version is the FEL-AD2.

Q: How far does the head tilt?
A: Enough to wash a wall or graze a column from a ceiling position, set by hand at installation and held without tools. For a near-horizontal wall wash, plan the base position rather than assuming it sits directly above the target.

Q: How does the DMX512 control work?
A: Each head takes an address on a standard DMX512 run, and scenes, colour chases and dimming are programmed from the console like any other DMX fixture. The 20cm five-wire input and output cables daisy-chain the heads, so a row of them wires as one chain, and any console that outputs standard DMX512 drives them.

Q: What is the difference between RGB and RGBW?
A: The RGB version mixes red, green and blue for colour washes and effects. The RGBW version adds a dedicated white channel, so it produces a clean white key light as well as the colour; pick it where the space alternates between colour scenes and ordinary white lighting.
