DC 12V 24V SMD 3528 120 piece LED per Meter Flexible LED Strip Light
The ILED-FX-3528 120 is a high-density flexible LED strip with 120 SMD 3528 LEDs per meter in a single row. It runs on 12VDC or 24VDC and puts out about 700 lumen per meter with a 120 degree beam. Each strip is a static single colour, from red, green, blue, yellow, warm white, commercial white or cool white. Cut it in 25mm steps, stick it down with the 3M yellow tape, and power it from the 15cm input cable. Choose IP20 for dry walls or IP65 to IP68 where it meets water. Its 50,000 hour rated life outlasts most installs.

The ILED-FX-3528 120 is a flexible LED strip built around the SMD 3528 package at 120 LEDs per meter in a single row. It is the higher-output member of the standard, single-row 3528 range: clearly brighter than the 30 and 60 piece strips, but not as dense as the double-row 240D. That middle position makes it the pick when you want a strong, smooth line of light without the width and power of the double-row version.
Tech specs at a glance
The strip runs on 12VDC or 24VDC, draws 9.6W per meter and puts out about 700 lumen per meter with a 120 degree spread. Colour rendering is CRI above 80 as standard and above 90 on request. Each piece ships as a 5 meter roll, 8mm wide, cuttable in 25mm steps.
What 120 LEDs per meter means
Doubling the density of the 60 piece strip nearly doubles the output, so the light looks smoother and brighter, with less visible spacing between the points. It suits bright coves, task lighting and display work where you want more than a soft accent. It stays in a single row, so it keeps the narrow 8mm body of the standard strip rather than widening out like the double-row 240D.
Dual voltage: 12V or 24V
You can have this strip on 12V or 24. A 12V version is simple and pairs with the small transformers used for short cove and cabinet runs. A 24V version drops less voltage down a long line, so it stays even over longer distances, which is why 24 is the pick for long corridors and bigger rooms. Choose the voltage that fits your supply and the length of the run.
Choosing a colour
This is a static strip, so each piece is one single colour. You pick one of the seven available colours before ordering: red, green, blue, yellow, warm white, commercial white or cool white. The white options cover three temperatures, so warm white suits living spaces while cool white is cleaner for work areas. For accent or signage the red, green, blue and yellow single colours are the ones to use.
IP rating options
The same strip is offered in four protection ratings. IP20 is for dry indoor locations such as coves and cabinetry. IP65 handles covered outdoor and wet areas like eaves and facades. IP67 and IP68 are for where the strip gets fully wet or sits in harsh coastal air. Match the rating to the location, not the highest one on the list.
Build and installation
The strip cuts cleanly in 25mm steps, so you trim it to fit instead of bending a longer piece. It is backed with 3M yellow double-sided tape, and a 3M red tape is available on request. A 15cm input cable is fitted to the leading end, and connector cables can be customized to a different length or plug. At 8mm wide it disappears into most coves and channels.
What is in the box
Each order ships with the strip as a 5 meter roll, the 3M yellow mounting tape, and the 15cm input cable on the connection end. Custom lengths are cut to order from the same roll.
What you need to supply
You will need a power supply at 12VDC or 24VDC, matched to the strip version, sized for your total meters, which the 9.6W per meter figure makes easy to add up. For dimming, a compatible LED dimmer is available. If you are not hard-wiring, use an adapter or driver that matches the strip voltage.
Where it gets used
As a bright single-row strip it suits cove and ceiling lighting, under-cabinet and display work, task lighting, and picture lighting. Outdoors the IP65 and above versions handle eaves, facades and garden edges. The single colours also make it useful for signage and feature lines.
Lifespan and reliability
The SMD 3528 LEDs carry a 50,000 hour rated life, which at typical use is well past a decade. There are no moving parts and no fan, so the strip does not fail through heat. It works from -20 C to 50 C, and with a 24V supply and a properly sized driver the heat stays manageable even in a tight cove.
Here is what installers tell us they like about the 120 piece 3528 strip:
A brighter single row. At 120 LEDs per meter it puts out about 700 lumen per meter, well above the 30 and 60 piece strips, so it works where you want real light from a line, not just a soft glow.
Stays narrow. It is a single row, so it keeps the 8mm body of the standard strip instead of widening out like the double-row 240D, which matters in tight coves.
Dual voltage choice. You can order it on 12V or 24, and for longer lines the 24V version stays even. That saves you from guessing the supply later.
Cut to the exact length. The 25mm cut step means you trim the strip to fit instead of wasting meters or bending a piece that will not sit flat.
Seven colour choices. The range covers three white temperatures plus red, green, blue and yellow, which handles most accent and signage jobs without going to a different strip.
They all use the SMD 3528 LED, but the density changes the output. The 60 piece is the softer, lower-power option. The 120 piece here is a single row with about double that brightness, at around 700 lumen per meter. The 240D goes further with a double row for near-solid output, but it is wider and draws more. Choose 120 for a bright single-row line without the width of the 240D.
For a short run of a few meters, 12V is fine and pairs easily with a small transformer. For longer lines, 24V drops less voltage, so the far end stays as bright as the near end. Running across a room or hallway? Start with 24V.
No. The ILED-FX-3528 120 is a static strip, so each piece is one fixed colour from red, green, blue, yellow, warm white, commercial white or cool white. If you want colours that change on command, that is the addressable RGB range, a different product.
Under a covered roof eave, IP65 is enough. Where the strip gets fully wet, splashed hard or sits in coastal salt air, use IP67 or IP68. Match the rating to how wet the location is.
The strip cuts cleanly every 25mm on the marked line. Butt two lengths together and solder the wires, or use a 4-pin connector, keeping the lines matched. In wet locations, seal the joint with silicone.
Add up your total meters and multiply by 9.6W. A 10 meter run is about 96W, so choose a 12VDC or 24VDC supply with a little headroom over that total, and feed long lines from both ends.
Bright, single-row 3528 strips like this one are used where you want real light from a line:
Cove and ceiling lighting. The 700 lumen per meter is enough to carry a real cove line across a room, and the 120 piece spacing keeps the light even without visible dark gaps between the points.
Under-cabinet and task lighting. Where a softer strip would be dim, the 120 piece gives a stronger, more usable light under cabinets, on worktops and in reading zones where clarity matters all day long.
Display and shop lighting. The output suits display areas, counters and shop fronts where the line needs to read as genuinely bright rather than just decorative, so it works hard where visibility is the point.
Signage and feature lines. The single red, green, blue, yellow and white colours are handy where one fixed colour and a strong, even line are exactly what the design calls for.
Architectural and facade. With IP65 and above, the strip outlines eaves, columns, canopies and garden edges outdoors, where it is weatherproof but still a clean, bright line of light.
A few things to check before ordering:
Pick the voltage first. Choose 12V for short, easy runs and 24V for longer lines, and buy the matching power supply. Mixing them up is the most common cause of a strip that will not run.
Size the power supply. Multiply your total meters by 9.6W and buy a little above that figure. Undersizing is the most common cause of a strip that dims at the far end.
Remember it is single colour. The strip is static, one colour per piece, from the seven available options. If you need changing colours, that is the addressable RGB range.
Match the IP rating to the location. IP20 is dry indoor only. Use IP65 for covered outdoor and wet areas, and IP67 or IP68 for full or harsh exposure.
Feed long runs from both ends. Even a 120 piece strip benefits from power at each end on a long line, so the middle does not dim.
