The ILED-CL-A C1 is a recessed COB LED downlight with a tiltable head, built for low-glare accent lighting in shops and hotels. The head tilts after the housing is fixed, so the beam can be aimed at a shelf, a wall, or a display without moving the fixture. The anti-glare reflector keeps the source out of normal viewing angles, which is why this model is specified in rooms where people sit close to the ceiling line.
Models
Six models cover openings from 55mm to 120mm in diameter:
- ILED-CL2-A C1 5W: 450 lm, body D63mm x H63mm, cutout D55mm
- ILED-CL3-A C1 7W: 630 lm, body D85mm x H71mm, cutout D75mm
- ILED-CL3-A C1 9W: 810 lm, body D85mm x H76mm, cutout D75mm
- ILED-CL3-A C1 12W: 1080 lm, body D85mm x H93mm, cutout D75mm
- ILED-CL4-A C1 18W: 1620 lm, body D105mm x H99mm, cutout D95mm
- ILED-CL5-A C1 28W: 2000 lm, body D130mm x H115mm, cutout D120mm
The 7W, 9W, and 12W models share the same 75mm cutout but differ in depth, so upgrading to a higher output later does not require enlarging the hole. That shared cutout also makes it easy to standardize the ceiling detail across a whole project and adjust brightness room by room afterwards.
Optics and color
Lenses are offered in 15°, 24°, or 38°, selected at order. The 15° optic gives a tight spot for a single shelf or picture; the 24° optic is the common choice for display lighting; the 38° optic spreads wider for general coverage. The lens is fixed when the unit is ordered and cannot be swapped after delivery. Color temperature is selectable within 2700K-6500K, and CRI is above 92, so fabric, food, and finish colors read accurately under the light. For a retail space, the combination of a tight optic and a high CRI is usually the deciding factor over a cheaper non-COB unit.
Construction
The housing is die-cast aluminum with a PC component, finished in white. The IP42 rating covers normal indoor dry locations. The tilt mechanism is part of the trim, so aiming is done by hand after the housing is seated in the ceiling. The aluminum body also carries heat away from the COB source, which keeps the driver and LED within working range in enclosed ceilings. The round shape means the housing beds into the ceiling cleanly, with the trim face sitting flush against the board.
Controls and electrical
Input is 110-277VAC or 220-240VAC with power factor above 0.9. Control is chosen at order: DALI, Triac dimmable, 0-10V dimmable, or emergency. The DALI version links into a building management system; the Triac version works with standard wall dimmers; the 0-10V version uses a low-voltage control signal. The emergency version connects to a backup supply and requires separate wiring, so confirm the details with the sales team before ordering.
Installation
The fixture recesses into a plasterboard ceiling. Cut a circular opening to the cutout size for the model, wire the driver, then seat the housing. Aim the head before the trim is locked into place, and adjust again later if the display changes. Always switch off the supply at the breaker before wiring. Because the housing is round, a standard hole saw of the right diameter is enough; no template is needed. Check the ceiling void depth against the model height before cutting, since the 12W and 28W versions sit deeper in the void.
Where it fits
The C1 suits hotel rooms, shop displays, and corridor accents where a small recessed spot is wanted without glare. The 55mm model works in tight ceiling slots; the 120mm model covers a larger opening with 28W of output. In a retail row, a mix of 15° and 24° units can pick out products at different distances while keeping the aisle darker. Because the head tilts, the same housing can aim at a wall, a table, or straight down.
Certifications
The ILED-CL-A C1 carries TUV, CE, RoHS, and SAA certification. If the project requires one of these marks on file, the documentation can be requested from the sales team.
