DC 12V 24V SMD 2835 60 piece LED per Meter Flexible LED Strip Light
The ILED-FX-2835 60 is a flexible LED strip with 60 SMD 2835 LEDs per meter, in white light only: warm, commercial or cool white. It runs on 12VDC or 24VDC and puts out 800 to 1,200 lumen per meter with a 120 degree beam. It is a static strip, so each piece is one fixed colour. Cut it in 25mm steps, stick it down with the included 3M yellow tape, and power it from the 15cm input cable. Choose IP20 for dry indoor walls or IP65 to IP68 where it meets water. Its 50,000 hour rated life outlasts most installs.

The ILED-FX-2835 60 is a flexible LED strip built around the SMD 2835 package at 60 LEDs per meter, offering white light in three temperatures. It sits in the middle of the 2835 range: brighter and denser than a low-count accent strip, but not as intense as the 120 piece version. That makes it the everyday workhorse for ambient and accent lighting where you want a clean, even white.
Tech specs at a glance
The strip runs on 12VDC or 24VDC, draws 8 to 12W per meter and puts out 800 to 1,200 lumen per meter with a 120 degree spread. Colour rendering is CRI above 80 as standard and above 90 on request. Each piece ships as a 5 meter roll, 8mm wide, cuttable in 25mm steps.
Why 60 LEDs per meter
Density decides how bright and how even the light is. At 60 LEDs per meter the strip gives a smooth, shadow-free line without the very high output of the 120 piece version, which suits coves, under-cabinet runs and ambient lighting better. It also draws less power than the denser strip, so it is easier to feed along a long line.
Dual voltage: 12V or 24V
You can have this strip on 12V or 24, and that is the main reason installers reach for it. A 12V version is simple and pairs with the small transformers used for short cove and cabinet runs. A 24V version drops less voltage down a long line, so it stays even when you are stringing it far, which is why 24 is the pick for long corridors and bigger rooms. Choose the voltage that fits your supply and the length of the run.
Choosing a white
This is a static white strip, so each piece is one temperature, not a mix. The three options are warm white for a soft, cosy look in living areas, commercial white for a balanced, general-purpose tone in work and shop spaces, and cool white for a brighter, cleaner light where visibility matters. Pick one before ordering; the strip cannot change temperature on the fly.
IP rating options
The same strip is offered in four protection ratings. IP20 is for dry indoor locations such as coves and cabinetry. IP65 handles covered outdoor and wet areas like eaves and facades. IP67 and IP68 are for where the strip gets fully wet or sits in harsh coastal air. Match the rating to the location, not the highest one on the list.
Build and installation
The strip cuts cleanly in 25mm steps, so you trim it to fit instead of bending a longer piece. It is backed with 3M yellow double-sided tape, and a 3M red tape is available on request. A 15cm input cable is fitted to the leading end, and connector cables can be customized to a different length or plug. At 8mm wide it disappears into most coves and channels.
What is in the box
Each order ships with the strip as a 5 meter roll, the 3M yellow mounting tape, and the 15cm input cable on the connection end. Custom lengths are cut to order from the same roll.
What you need to supply
You will need a power supply at 12VDC or 24VDC, matched to the strip version, sized for your total meters. For dimming, a compatible LED dimmer is available. If you are not hard-wiring, use an adapter or driver that matches the strip voltage.
Where it gets used
As a mid-density white strip it shows up in cove and ceiling lighting, under-cabinet and under-bed zones, picture and window lighting, and general task lighting. Outdoors the IP65 and above versions handle eaves, facades and garden edges. The three white temperatures make it useful across homes, shops and offices.
Lifespan and reliability
The SMD 2835 LEDs carry a 50,000 hour rated life, which at normal use is well past a decade. There are no moving parts and no fan, so the strip does not fail through heat. It works from -20 C to 50 C, and because it draws sensible power it stays cool even in tight, low-ventilation installs.
Here is what installers tell us they like about the 60 piece 2835 strip:
Dual voltage choice. You can order it on 12V or 24, so short runs stay simple and long runs stay even. That one feature saves you from guessing a supply later.
White only, no controller. It is a static strip, so there is no addressing to set up. You power it and it runs the one temperature you chose, which keeps the job clean.
Cut to the exact length. The 25mm cut step means you trim the strip to fit instead of wasting meters or bending a piece that will not sit flat.
Pick the protection rating. IP20 through IP68 are all on the same strip, so you choose the rating for the location rather than ordering a different product.
Ready to stick. 3M yellow tape is on the back as standard, so most indoor runs do not need any other mounting method.
Three white temperatures. Warm, commercial and cool white cover most ambient and task jobs without going to a different strip.
Both use the SMD 2835 LED, but the 120 piece meter packs twice as many, so it runs brighter. The 60 piece here is the middle option: enough light for ambient and accent work with lower power draw. Choose 60 for coves and task lighting, and 120 for a brighter line.
For a short run of a few meters, 12V is fine and pairs easily with a small transformer. For longer lines, 24V drops less voltage, so the far end stays as bright as the near end. Running across a room or hallway? Start with 24V.
No. The ILED-FX-2835 60 is a static white strip in warm, commercial or cool white, one temperature per piece. If you need colours that change on command, that is the addressable RGB range, a different product.
On 12V the run is shorter than on 24V for the same cable. For long lines, feed power from both ends so the middle does not dim. When unsure, choose the 24V version.
Under a covered roof eave, IP65 is enough. Where the strip gets fully wet, splashed hard or sits in coastal salt air, use IP67 or IP68. Match the rating to how wet the location is.
The strip cuts cleanly every 25mm on the marked line. Butt two lengths together and solder the wires, or use a 4-pin connector, keeping the lines matched. In wet locations, seal the joint with silicone.
Add up your total meters and multiply by the wattage per meter, roughly 8 to 12W, then pick a 12VDC or 24VDC supply with a little headroom. Add a dimmer if you want to fade it.
Warm white is softest, best for living spaces. Commercial white is a balanced, neutral tone for work and shop areas. Cool white is the brightest, good where visibility matters. One temperature is fixed per strip, so choose it for the room.
Mid-density white strips like this one are used in a lot of everyday settings:
Ceiling coves and indirect lighting. Running the strip in a cove line gives an even, shadow-free glow with no visible source. It is the classic pick for bedroom, lounge and office accent coves that need to stay consistent and soft along a whole wall.
Under-cabinet and under-bed. The output is enough to light a worktop, counter or reading zone, and the narrow 8mm body tucks away out of sight so the light is what you see, not the fixture itself.
TV, mirror and furniture backlight. A warm white strip behind a TV, mirror or cabinet edge adds depth and soft ambient light to a room without a direct light source.
Architectural and facade. With IP65 and above, the strip outlines eaves, columns, canopies and garden edges outdoors, weatherproof but still subtle.
Shop and office task lighting. Commercial white gives a neutral, general-purpose light for display areas, counters and work zones where clear visibility is wanted all day long.
Simple signage and marker lines. A fixed warm or cool white strip marks edges, steps or counters where a steady, unchanging light is exactly what the design calls for.
A few things to check before ordering:
Pick the voltage first. Choose 12V for short, easy runs and 24V for longer lines, and buy the matching power supply. Mixing them up is the most common cause of a strip that will not run.
Remember it is white only. The strip is static and comes in warm, commercial or cool white, one temperature per piece. If you need changing colours, that is the addressable RGB range, not this one.
Match the IP rating to the location. IP20 is dry indoor only. Use IP65 for covered outdoor and wet areas, and IP67 or IP68 for full or harsh exposure.
Plan the cut and joins. Cut on the 25mm marks and keep a little length in reserve. For wet locations, seal every cut and joint with silicone after you wire it.
Feed long runs from both ends. Even a 60 piece strip benefits from power at each end on a long line, so the middle does not dim.
